Rob Van Dam and Sabu both plea bargained yesterday in Irontown Municipal Court as a result of charges back in early July. Neither RVD or Sabu will be serving time.

Rob Van Dam pleaded guilty to speeding and possession of marijuana. His previous charge of possession of Vicodin was dropped when he produced a valid prescription. RVD was fined $140 and additional court costs.

Sabu pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (nine testolactone tablets which are used to suppress the development of female physical characteristics while getting off steroids). Possession of drug paraphernalia (a bong) was dropped by the court. Sabu was sentenced to ten days in jail, but the term was suspended with a $500 fine and additional court costs.

Based on the new World Wrestling Entertainment policy, Sabu's guilty plea should come with a mandatory suspension and even a possible release. However, WWE isn't expected to do either. It should be noted that when Rob Van Dam and Sabu where in the court room, they were spotted flipping off members of the media. WWE.com also covered the story at this link and were sure not to draw too much attention to it on the main page.
