Jill Jarrett, the wife of Jeff, has passed away after losing a very long battle with cancer. According to Percy Pringle (aka Paul Bearer) over on his website, Jill passed away this morning - which ironically is the same day Owen Hart passed away just eight years ago in 1999 (Jeff and Owen were very good friends as many are aware of).

The Wrestling Observer reports that Jill had been battling cancer on-and-off for many years now, with her health issues getting much worse over the past two months. Jeff had literally been by her side 24/7 when she was hospitalized and would fly back and forth from Nashville to Orlando for TNA tapings. Jarrett would often do his segments early and fly back home right away to be with her and his family.

While many in TNA were aware of Jill's health situation, Jeff had reportedly only spoken to a number of people about it in detail within the company, including Don West. This is why some of West's on-air comments came across so emotionally at times and why Jeff's first promo back on TV with Mike Tenay a few weeks ago was so emotional for him. Jeff has many young children and it unquestionably has to be a very hard situation for the entire family right now.
