Just got back from WWE Armageddon 2007 in Pittsburgh. Thought I'd include some notes that may or may not be news.

The Dark Match was Morrison and Miz facing Jesse and Festus. Festus was over with the crowd in the Igloo, while Morrison got pops from my section. Festus destroyed Morrison to win the match for his team.

Lilian sang the National Anthem (not quite as good as when she's on TV, but she's awesome nonetheless).

The announcers were brought in (First JR and King, then Styles and Tazz, then Cole and Y2J's new best friend, JBL).

The Rey Mysterio/MVP match was awesome live, but many in the crowd were PO'ed with the countout finish. The crowd was into it the entire time...mostly for Ray, some for MVP.

The less said about Big Daddy V/Mark Henry vs. Kane/CM Punk the better. It went too long and the crowd was only into the match when it started picking up.

Kennedy came out to a pretty nice pop from the crowd. The fans were electric as usual for HBK's entrance. The match was really good, but a lot of people saw HBK winning a mile away. Kennedy goes from possibly being Mr. McMahon's son to being the PPV Brooklyn Brawler.

Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy: I'd say the crowd was 70/30 for Triple H. But everyone was shocked when Hardy pulled out the victory the way he did. Crowd reacted warmly to Jeff's win.

Finlay vs. The Great Khali: It must suck for Khali to go on airplanes. The man is taller than hell. Hornswoggle and Finlay got a nice pop from the crowd. The ending really got the crowd riled up with Hornswoggle low blowing Khali.

Y2J vs. Randy Orton: Much better match than I thought it would be. Figured it'd only be 5 minutes with a phony DQ finish. But instead we got a good 10-15 minute wrestling match....with a phony DQ finish. Crowd was really upset with JBL, especially after everyone thought Orton was going to tap out. When Orton hit the RKO, it actually got some applause. He was really over though as the heel champ.

(Note: Jillian's singing is actually worse live than on TV. At least with the TV, you have a mute button. She actually gave a lot of us a headache.)

Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James- Crowd was not into this. Everyone knew the World Title Match was next and wanted to get the show on the road. Beth Phoenix won with her Dead Level/Brainbuster maneuver.

(During the promo for the Triple Threat Match, I noticed a group of figures heading towards the ring. I remember reading that this happened when Hornswoggle was put under the ring. I knew something was up for the main event.)

The Triple Threat Match, despite the 3 Edges, was a great match live. Everything seemed to flow, especially between Batista and Undertaker. The spot of the match was when Batista reversed the Old Skool into a spinebuster. When Edge won, it got a nice pop.

Nothing of note happened after the show. Just Undertaker walking back to his music and Batista walking slowly back to his music as well.

Cool Note: I had a "Owen 4 2008 HOF" sign during the show. And another fan gave me a handshake over it. It's cool to know that there are others passionate about professional wrestling, and the performers who bust their butts for our entertainment. Seriously, everyone should go petition WWE to induct Owen Hart. It's been almost 9 years, and if they can put Eddie in after just a few months, they can surely honor The King of Harts.

Best Match Live: Triple H/Jeff Hardy. Everyone was on the edge of their seats during the last 5 minutes.

Best Reaction
1) Triple H
2) Undertaker
3) Batista

Best Heels
1) Randy Orton
2) Edge
3) Tie- JBL for the interference and MVP for the countout
