When World Wrestling Entertainment inducts its 2008 class of Hall of Fame inductees on March 29, two Atlanta area residents will be on hand to accept for a Georgia legend: Gordon Solie. Although he started offering commentary for televised wrestling in Florida, it was the exposure WTBS provided for Georgia Championship Wrestling’s television program that brought Solie into more homes than ever. Pam Allyn, Solie’s daughter, and husband Robert will be present at the Amway Arena in Orlando, FL, on Saturday to accept the posthumous honor. “Pam and I are really excited that the official announcement was made about her dad,” said Robert on Tuesday immediately following the mention on the ECW broadcast. “We are flying to Orlando this week and will be at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and WrestleMania,” he said, before adding “This is too cool!” A broadcast of the event will be aired on tape delay beginning at 11:00 PM ET on the USA Network. Ric Flair is expected to be the headliner, with the induction to be made by Triple H. Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson will be on hand to induct Peter Maivia, his grandfather, and Rocky Johnson, his father. Dusty Rhodes will induct Eddie Graham. Mae Young is also being honored, as are Jack and Jerry Brisco. (Rich Tate)

Throughout his career he was known for his promos and his dark charisma, his extensive use of psychology in his matches, and has been credited for inventing the DDT, though that has been challenged. He is also credited with training the wrestlers Diamond Dallas Page and Raven, as well as teaching much about wrestling psychology to his on-screen enemies, Steve Austin and the Undertaker.

Jake Roberts has feuded with some of the biggest names in the history of this sport like Andre The Giant, The Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and so many more and now the Snake returns to UXW where he has defeated King Kong Bundy and a bloody beating in his last UXW appearance.

Returning to UXW after 2 years will be the Legendary Madman From The Sudan...the greatest hardcore wrestler of all time ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER..............Abdullah’s reputation as the most sadistic and bloodthirsty hardcore wrestler in history has established a legacy far greater than any single championship ever could. In addition, his dietary habits have also become the stuff of legend, as he has been known to eat announcers’ ties, whole raw fish, and he once even bit the head off a live chicken before a traumatized crowd. Moreover, his unpredictable, ultra-violent style is largely responsible for inspiring a future generation of wrestling madmen, including “Maniac” Mark Lewin, Kevin Sullivan, Cactus Jack, Kamala, and Sabu.........................Abdullah will face for the UXW World Title the new 2X UXW World Champion MR WRESTLING STEVE CORINO...........Corino is a former ECW World Champion as well as one of the biggest stars in JAPAN history and Corino promises that he will not be alone.....This match will have NO RULES........There will be NO DQ’s..............ANYTHING GOES!!
