Lots of news making the rounds regarding an appearance by Jake Roberts this past Friday night in Ohio where it appeared he went back to his old ways and worked a show completely wasted. Footage of the incident is up at this link on YouTube.

Jake's assistant is claiming that he was given an open container of what he thought was a cold drink when he got to the arena and remembers nothing after that point until he woke up the next morning in his motel room. The belief is that Jake was drugged, at least that is what those close to him and those who represent him are saying. Jake was also spotted going back-and-forth from a bar where the show was being held.

Chris Yandek also sent this in: Jake Roberts talked with Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com about what happened at the wrestling show in Ohio this past weekend. Jake claims he was drugged and admits it was one of the most scariest moments of his life, “I never have felt like that. I don’t know why this has happened. I pray that it never happens to anybody. I am sorry. I can’t even talk. I can’t tell you how scary it is because right now I am shaking just thinking about it. I just don’t want it to happen to anybody. Whoever did it, I hope to hell what goes around comes around and let God sort it out because I am not going on a man hunt because I am scared to even open the door much less anything else.”

After the drugging, Jake's next memory is the next morning, "I don’t remember the show starting. I woke up with my wrestling clothes on. Shannon [Jake's assitant] told me I had wrestled. I was like you’re kidding? I don’t remember anything. Even when I drank in the past I didn’t behave the way they said I behaved. I don’t even know all the particulars yet. I may never want to know them all because I am so sick of it.”
