Mistico Entered as Final Participant in G1 Tournament

After being unable to visit Japan in May due to the Swine Flu outbreak, Mexican sensation Mistico will return to New Japan during the G1 Climax tour. The luchador will compete specially on the 8/13 Aichi and 8/15 Sumo Hall shows. His matches haven’t been announced yet.
If you’re seeing weird code at the top of the site, that has just randomly appeared today. So far I haven’t been able to figure out what might be causing it. If anyone has any idea/experience with WordPress, please let me know! (Edit: Fixed. Thanks to The Cubs Fan!)

1st KO D Openweight title Contendership Tournament - Final: Kota Ibushi def Sanshiro Takagi (31:53) with a phoenix Splash.

Yes, you read that right, this was a whopping one-match show put on by DDT. The story behind the whole deal was that Ibushi, was originally slated to wrestle Takagi on the 28th of June. However, Ibushi caught a nasty infection on a cut, and the match had to be cancelled. This left them in an awkward position, as the next show was their Sumo Hall show, DDT's version of Wrestlemania. Not exactly the show you switch plans for. So the company decided to postpone the match, and hold a nice little one-match show once Ibushi was back in good health.

Just a quick fact, this is actually second one-match card DDT has held in its history. In July of 2000, 9 years ago to the exact date almost, there was another card like this and eve more ironically, Sanshiro Takagi was also involved. It was the big No Ropes Barbed Wire Death match against FMW owner and ring legend Atsushi Onita.

Ibushi, by virtue of winning the match, will now move on to face DDT champion HARASHIMA at the Sumo Hall on August 28th.
