After the match Ezekiel Jackson makes his way down to the ring in an act reminiscent of Kozlov doing the same last week. The two stare each other down and then Zeke lifts the jobber up for a fierce chokeslam. Zeke leaves the ring and heads up the ramp.

In the back Tiffany is seen talking with Tommy Dreamer. Tommy mentions how much he loved being ECW Champion. Then Shelton comes in and asks to be on Abraham Washington’s show. Tiffany says that she talked to Abe, but he has reservations because he feels Shelton isn’t “entertaining enough”. Shelton scoffs at the suggestion stating that he will prove his entertainment value. Gregory Helms walks in and says he has a question to ask Tiffany, and we head to commercial.

Sheamus v. Goldust

The two charge at each other and Sheamus throws him down to the mat. Gold bounces off the ropes and is leveled with a shoulder block. Christian hits his see-saw leg kick and follows it up with a flying European uppercut. Christian hits the Killswitch and this epic match is over.

Winner via Killswitch: Christian

ECW Thoughts

Wowza, what a main event! Christian and Ryder had a decent amount of time and gave it everything they had. First the good - both men looked very strong and Ryder was instantly elevated to main event level. The bad - Christian really needs to stop going to the top rope every move. I’m a high flyer fan, but he seem to be perched on the turnbuckle every five seconds which really wasn’t necessary. Regardless, I look forward to these two squaring off again, it will be treat.

Kozlov is a beast… but so is Zeke! I love the way they are building this feud up. The crowd really wants to see the two of them lock up and the WWE would be wise to exploit that desire. Or we might just have it unhyped on free TV but hey I can always hope.

Goldust has just looked awesome since being drafted to ECW. He seems to be in great shape. The crowd rightfully buys into him now and wants to see him win, thus legitimizing his opponent’s victories.

Tyler Reks and Burchill squared off continuing their feud in what was another ok match. It wasn’t bad, but it is highly forgettable. On the plus side Reks’ theme song is really grooving… so that’s something…
