- Vince McMahon came out and announced that Bobby Lashley wouldn't be on ECW tonight as a result of last night's attack on Raw. He promised that Lashley would lose the ECW Title at Backlash.
- Backstage, Rob Van Dam and Elijah Burke were with CM Punk and fought over which group he would join - The Originals or The New Breed. Punk said he would make his final decision tonight.
- Kevin Thorn defeated Tommy Dreamer. Thorn got the win following The Dark Kiss off the top rope.
- Backstage, Extreme Expose were shown putting makeup on in a mirror when Snitsky walked up. Kelly Kelly and Rebecca ran off leaving Layla. She stared at Snitsky for a bit then ran off. Snitsky continued to glare at them.
- Footage was shown of Snitsky "breaking" Hardcore Holly's arm last week on ECW.
- CM Punk defeated Stevie Richards. Before the match, Matt Striker and The Sandman came out. Sandman almost costed Punk the match by accidentally hitting with him his singapore cane. Punk was able to counter a roll-up by Richards to get a pinfall. After the match, Sandman tried to tell Punk it was an accident and that he belonged with The Originals.
- Extreme Expose did another dance. After it concluded, Snitsky came out and hit the ring. Kelly Kelly and Rebecca were able to escape, leaving Layla in the ring. Snitsky approached her and stared at her. Balls Mahoney hit the ring and then took out Snitsky with a big steel chair shot. Snitsky shrugged it off and took out Mahoney with a big boot.
- Marcus Cor Von defeated Rob Van Dam. Elijah Burke was in Marcus Cor Von's corner, while Sabu was in Rob Van Dam's corner. The finish saw Burke give Sabu a big DDT on the outside. RVD saw this and chased after Burke. Burke went around the ring, rolled inside, RVD followed and when RVD stood up in the ring chasing Burke, Cor Von came out of no where with The Pounce (or the massive shoulder block as Joey Styles called it) for the win.
After the match, CM Punk's music hit. He came out and attended to the injured Sabu and RVD on the outside. Punk then took his shirt off and got into the ring staring down Burke and Cor Von. He looked to attack them, but stopped, smiled at the crowd and shook hands with them. Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn and Ariel then all came out. Punk was hoisted up on the shoulders of Thorn and Cor Von smiling with his arms in the air showing he has joined The New Breed as the show went off the air.
