Welcome to the Armpit wrestling quiz for the week of January 28, 2008. Last night's Rumble showed classic short-sighted booking. Instead of being patient and holding off Cena's return until after WrestleMania (to combat the usual post-WM business slump), WWE rushed him back as a surprise at the Rumble. Typical wrestling booking: temporary huge pop, but sacrificing long-term business. It's good to know that in wrestling, no one ever learns from history.

Short quiz this week. Here is "Remembering the Rumbles - Part 4."

Last week's answers:

-Rumble '99 was featured as part of the "Beyond the Mat" documentary. It goes without saying that this movie is a must-see, but make sure you turn your head and plug your ears during the Darren Drozdov scene. I've seen that movie 5 times and have yet to see that scene. Thank you Dave Meltzer for reviewing the movie before I saw it, thus warning me ahead of time.

-Mae Young won the Miss Rumble '00 contest. And you thought that nonsense would be gone once Russo left the WWF.

-Drew "I have the greatest daytime TV gig in show business history" Carrey was a guest participant at Rumble '01.

-Rumble '02 featured the triumphant comeback of Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig. What could've been a great comeback story unfortunately didn't end up that way.

-Rumble '03 was the night "Harvard" Chris Nowinski suffered a major concussion. If you don't see the significance in 2008 of that injury to that particular person, then you haven't been paying attention.

Here are this week's questions. Remember, the new rules are that you no longer need to submit your questions, and no winners will be declared. We're just doing this for fun and to honor the forgotten world of wrestling history.

1. Which part of the Rumble '04 was replayed on the Chris Benoit tribute show on Raw this past summer?

2. At Rumble '05, Batista and John Cena eliminated each other at the same time, and they both landed on the floor at the same time. This was a play on a famous Saturday Night's Main Event steel cage match finish from 1986 (airing in 1987). Who were the participants in that steel cage match?

3. The opener on the Rumble '06 show was a 6-way match for the Cruiserweight championship. What smack-talking (in real life, which is why he can't keep a job with a top company) wrestler held the Cruiserweight title at the time?

4. Some fans scoffed at the thought of John Cena winning the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's "Wrestler of the Year" award. Critics say that while Cena is a legit arena draw, he's not a good wrestler. The problem with that assessment is Cena delivered some great matches in 2007, and not all of those matches were against good workers (such as Great Khali). One of those great matches was with Umaga, who seems to be the Bam Bam Bigelow of this generation: a very good working big-man whose role is to get other people over, and never gets his just due. Cena and Umaga tore the house down at Rumble '07, in one of the best WWE PPV matches of the year. What kind of match was it?

Answers will be posted next week.
