Welcome to the Armpit wrestling quiz for the week of April 21, 2008. Happy Earth Day.

Congrats to GSP for his win this past weekend, and maybe now we’ll finally get to see a long-awaited Hughes vs. Serra grudge match.

Back to wrestling and part 2 of our “WrestleWar” quiz. Answers from last week:

-The judges of the Flair-Steamboat match at WrestleWar ’89 were Lou Thesz, Pat O’Connor, and of course Terry Funk.

-After that match, Flair said Funk wasn’t worthy of a title shot yet because he was too busy in Hollywood hanging out with Sylvester Stallone. This set Funk off, and one of the greatest angles of all-time followed.

-Sting’s opponent at WW’89 was none other than… the Iron Sheik.

-The Oakridge Boys performed at WW’89.

-Luger got a title shot at WW’90 because Sting had injured himself legit, and Sting’s shot was delayed until Great American Bash.

Here are this week's questions. Remember, the new rules are that you no longer need to submit your questions, and no winners will be declared. We're just doing this for fun and to honor the forgotten world of wrestling history.

1. WrestleWar ’91 was one of the best PPVs of the 90s, as Phoenix fans were treated to a hot undercard and even hotter main event. Even Eddie Guerrero was in the dark match. One undercard match was Terry Taylor defeating Tom Zenk. Who was managing Taylor at this time.

2. Lex Luger successfully defended his US title against Dan Spivey, but his good times were short lived. Who attached Luger after the match?

3. The ’91 War Games was famous for Brian Pillman’s stretcher job at the hands of Sid Vicious. Who waved off the match on behalf of Pillman?

4. Sid’s other actions made that War Games match memorable. What was Sid doing that the camera picked up during the match, embarrassing WCW?

5. WrestleWar ’92 sucked… until the last 3 matches, all of which were tremendous. The tag title match was memorable for Takayuki Iizuka (called “Iizuki” by Ventura during the match) taking a wicked potato shot from a messed up bulldog. Who delivered this unfortunate botched move?

6. Brian Pillman defeated Tom Zenk in an excellent match, retaining what was later known as the cruiserweight title. What was the cruiserweight title called back then?

7. The ’92 version of the War Games is my all-time favorite. WCW was dead at the time, but this match was red hot with old school crowd heat. There wasn’t a bad worker in the bunch, with guys like Steve Austin, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton, and Ricky Steamboat carrying the fast paced action. There was even a cool cage-climbing spot with Sting and Madusa. Sting ended the match when he made Eaton submit to an armbar, just after Eaton had been struck by what?

Answers will be posted next week.
