The Wrestling Professor sent this in:

Welcome to the Armpit wrestling quiz for the week of May 19, 2008. Sorry about no quiz last week, but things were quite busy here.

Quite an uneventful week in wrestling news, which isn’t a bad thing. Ashley Massaro’s name has come up, and as of this writing, the outcome of that story is still unclear. But it does remind me of some stories over the years, some of which we’ll examine here. This week’s quiz is “Wrestlers in Controversy.”

Answers from last week:

-Kane’s movie, “See No Evil,” came out two years ago today, on May 19, 2006.

-Roddy Piper’s character in the movie “They Live” was named Nada.

-The wrestlers who appeared in “The Longest Yard” were Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, the Great Khali, Steve Austin, and Bob Sapp.

-“Gridiron Gang” is a movie based on the real life team of the Kilpatrick Mustangs.

-Andre the Giant’s character was defeated in “The Princess Bride” by a rear naked choke. I love that movie.

-Jeff Jarrett briefly appeared in Chris Rock’s “Head of State.”

-“Ed Wood” featured George “The Animal” Steele.

-“This is Rollerball!!!” is a line in “Rollerball” shouted by Paul Heyman. This line has also appeared in some Howard Stern Show commercial bumpers.

-The 2000 movie with David Arquette was “Ready to Rumble.”

-“Man in the Moon” was about comedian Andy Kaufman.

Here are this week's questions. Remember, the new rules are that you no longer need to submit your questions, and no winners will be declared. We're just doing this for fun and to honor the forgotten world of wrestling history.

1. Santino Marella was recently in the news for driving under the influence. He kept his job, but Santino was responsible for someone /* losing his job before he was Santino Marella. While in OVW, Santino was the impetus for what legend losing his job with WWE?

2. Ric Flair took one of the most unflattering mug shots in history when he was in trouble for doing what?

3. The Iron Sheik once got pulled over and police found marijuana in his car. However, this didn’t get his employer, the WWF, as mad as they were when they found out that Sheik was traveling with his storyline enemy. Busted with pot? No biggie. Busted breaking kayfabe? Off with your head. Whom was Sheik caught traveling with?

4. Don’t ever ask David Schults if wrestling is fake, and ABC reporter John Stossel can attest to that. How many times did Schults smack Stossel in that famous incident?

5. Name the wrestler who got in trouble while on tour in Kuwait for being a little too rough with a talk show host in the mid 90s.

6. Poor Lex Luger has seen better days, and his life fell apart after WCW went belly up. If only he had never gotten married, never had kids, never dabbled in substances, and never gotten a motorcycle, right now he’d be rich, healthy, happy, and on top of the world. Losing Elizabeth didn’t help, and on top of dealing with that tragedy, he had to deal with WWE. What WWE program at the time produced a segment that would lead viewers to believe Lex may have been a suspect in Liz’s death?

7. Hulk Hogan, like Lex Luger, has seen his world fall apart despite being someone who, also like Luger, seemed destined to retire rich because they were smart with their money. Instead, Hogan is in the middle of a messy divorce and rubbing his daughter’s ass at the beach. Did Hogan marry Linda before or after his first WWF title win?

8. Hurricane Helms has been in the news recently, thanks to a scuffle at his neighborhood billiards pub. When Helms came to WWE as a result of the WCW buyout, why wasn’t he allowed to be called Shane Helms?

Answers will be posted next week.
