(Quick Note: I am taking over for Paul Nemer because he was unable to do the RAW report for tonight. Paul will return next week)

The WWF opening promo hits followed by the RAW promo. The pyro goes off at the CajunDome in Lafayette to begin the show!

Matt Hardy is shown at WWF NY.

Preview is shown for Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Jericho for the Undisputed Championship!

WWF Hardcore Championship
The Undertaker © vs. Jeff Hardy w/ Lita
Undertaker takes Jeff down right away to start off the match and ring the bell. Undertaker throws Jeff in the corner and gives him some punches and kicks. Undertaker tosses Jeff into the other corner and hits clothesline. Undertaker takes Jeff down with a boot to the face. Undertaker misses an elbow drop and Jeff counters with some hard rights. Jeff tries to take Undertaker down but Undertaker doesn’t allow it to take effect. Jeff dropkicks Undertaker to the outside and then gets up on the top rope and tries to take Undertaker down on the outside but Undertaker moves out of the way. Undertaker runs Jeff into the ring pole on the back. Undertaker hits Jeff’s head off the steel steps. Undertaker proceeds to throw Jeff on the ring bell area. Undertaker takes a steel chair and drives it into the chest/neck of Jeff Hardy. Undertaker picks up Jeff and puts him back into the ring. Undertaker hits a hard right hand taking Jeff down. Undertaker gets Jeff ready for the Last Ride. Undertaker picks up Jeff and brings him back down hard connecting with the Last Ride. Lita gets up on the top rope looking to hit a Lita-canranna but she leaves when Undertaker looks at her. Undertaker then pins Jeff and gets the 1, 2, 3 for the win.

Winner and STILL WWF Hardcore Champion – The Undertaker

After the match, Undertaker gets on his bike but then gets off of it and gets back into the ring. He taunts at Lita and then picks Jeff up again and throws him over the top rope. Undertaker picks up Jeff off the steel ramp, throws him on his shoulder and begins to walk up the ramp as Lita follows on. Undertaker gets to the top of the ramp with Jeff still on his back and he sets him down. Undertaker taunts at Lita again, picks up Jeff and Undertaker gives Jeff the Last Ride off the top of the ramp to the clutter below. Undertaker grabs Lita but she gives him a Low Blow. She tries to run away but Undertaker catches her and throws her off. Matt Hardy is shown at WWF NY very mad after seeing what just took place. Undertaker is shown looking at the fans as they boo back as RAW goes to commercial.

RAW comes back showing clips from earlier of what just took place with The Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, and Lita.

DURING THE BREAK: Matt Hardy is shown at WWF NY backstage on a cell phone. He is asking if Lita is okay. He then asks about Jeff as well. He doesn’t get much information as he hangs up the cell phone and rushes out of the room.

No Chance In Hell hits as Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring. Vince gets into the ring, grabs a mic and begins to speak. Says that everyone in the arena could agree on one thing…that Stone Cold Steve Austin is a lunatic. He takes us down on memory lane showing Austin attacking Vince and Booker T in his suite in the arena when Austin dressed up in a fireman suit. They then show the brawl between Stone Cold and Booker T in the grocery store. Vince says that he has to get something off of his chest and that one individual needs to be out here when he says it. Vince says that person is Stone Cold Steve Austin and tells Austin to get his redneck butt out here. The Glass Shatters as Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way down the ramp and then gets into the ring posing on all 4 corners. Austin then circles around Vince as the fans chant WHAT! Vince says he hates that word as the fans do it even more. Austin grabs the mic and gets in Vince’s face. He asks Vince WHAT he wants from him as the fans chant along. Vince takes the mic away from Austin and asks him to apologize for what he did to Booker T. Austin responds in a WHAT. Austin asks Vince if he should apologize. WHAT. Austin said Booker T stole his car. WHAT. Austin says Booker T screwed him out of the Undisputed Championship. WHAT. Austin says he did Booker T a favor by taking him on shopping spree. WHAT. Austin says he got some seafood in Lafayette today as the fans chant WHAT once again. He tells Vince that if he thinks he will apologize to Booker T in Lafayette then it just won’t happen. Austin says Vince is a big jackass and asks the fans if he should open up a can of whoop ass on Vince and they respond in a HELL YEAH. Then Booker T appears in the parking lot by Steve Austin’s truck and tells him he hasn’t forgot about what Austin did to him on SmackDown. Booker T then uses a metal bar and destroys the windows of Austin’s truck. Booker T asks Austin if he can dig that…sucka! Austin leaves the ring and runs up the ramp as RAW goes to commercial.

DURING THE BREAK: Austin runs to the parking lot and tries to chase down Booker T but Booker T gets into a car and speeds away. Austin gets into his truck and chases after him.

WWF Tag Team Championships
Dudley Boyz ©’s vs. Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert
Scotty starts for Albert and D-Von starts for Bubba Ray. D-Von charges Scotty to the corner of Bubba Ray. D-Von gives Scotty some hard rights. D-Von takes Scotty down with a jumping elbow off the ropes to Scotty. D-Von hits a quick bodyslam on Scotty and tags in Bubba Ray. Bubba hits an elbow drop and gets a 2 count off the pin. Bubba hits a hanging vertical suplex on Scotty and goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Bubba tags in D-Von and they double team on Scotty taking him off the ropes and throwing him into the air and bringing him back down. D-Von chokes Scotty with the second rope and Stacy slaps Scotty from the outside. D-Von tags in Bubba and both Scotty and Bubba exchange left and rights. Bubba goes for a clothesline on Scotty but Scotty ducks and hits a superkick on Bubba. Scotty tags in Albert and Bubba tags in D-Von. Albert takes out both Dudley’s but D-Von the most. Albert gives D-Von a giant spin, which makes Albert dizzy. Bubba gets on his feet and Scotty makes a blind tag on Albert followed by a drop kick to Bubba. Scotty gets tossed into the corner by Albert on Bubba. Scotty then hits the WORM on D-Von but Bubba Ray breaks up the 3 count. Stacy gets into the ring and tries to hit Albert but Albert kisses her and Bubba throws Albert to the outside. Both Dudley’s get into the ring and hit the 3D on Scotty to get the 1, 2, 3 and the win.

Winners and STILL WWF Tag Team Champions – The Dudley Boyz

After the match, the Dudley Boyz stare down Albert and Scotty 2 Hotty.

Vince McMahon is shown backstage when he is on the phone with Booker T. Booker T tells him Austin won’t get him because he is in a church and Austin won’t ever guess he is in there. Vince tells Booker T while he is in church he should say a prayer for old Stone Cold because he is going to need it. RAW goes to commercial.

RAW comes back from commercial and they close in on the announcer’s booth. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler discuss the death of Russ Haas this past Saturday. There hearts go out to the Haas family and they say this is a big blow to the World Wrestling Federation.

WWF European Championship
Christian © vs. Tazz
Christian starts the match by attacking Tazz. Christian backs Tazz into the corner and gives him some hard rights followed by chocking him. Christian gives a few kicks to Tazz. Tazz retaliates with some punches to the gut but Christian breaks it up with an eye rake. Christian puts Tazz in the other corner and works on him there. Both men exchange rights and lefts in the middle of the ring. Tazz hits a overhead suplex on Christian and then takes him down with a clothesline. Tazz gives Christian another big suplex but Christian gets right up and tries for the Unprettier but Tazz counters with a Tazzmission! Christian then gives Tazz a low blow with his leg and then hits the Unprettier for the 1, 2, 3 and the win.

Winner and STILL WWF European Champion – Christian

After the match, Christian tries to knock out Tazz with the European title but Tazz ducks and locks Christian in the Tazzmission.

Backstage, Ric Flair is with Hurricane Helms (aka his alter reporter ego). Lance Storm walks up and he can’t believe that Hurricane has a job here and he doesn’t. Storm asks Ric Flair for another chance because his past two chances were against people he wasn’t prepared for. Ric Flair agrees but says after this, no more, 3 strikes and Storm is out. Flair tells Storm that his opponent will be…The Rock. Flair walks away as RAW goes to commercial.

They plug the Best of the WWF 2001 Viewers Choice matches which you can vote for on WWF.com.

RVD is shown getting ready backstage when Vince McMahon walks in. Vince wishes RVD good luck with his match. He reminds RVD that he can make the decisions more than Ric Flair. He says that if RVD wins the WWF Championship, he could see them become good friends. RVD says he doesn’t see himself being a “team” with Vince McMahon. Vince hopes that Chris Jericho beats the crap out of RVD. Vince tells RVD that he will be the guest ring announcer during the match.

Booker T is shown playing BINGO in the church. The BINGO lady keeps saying the numbers Booker T doesn’t have. Booker then switches his card with an old ladies. Austin then gets on the mic for the BINGO game and says “A” as in “Austin 3:16”. Austin smiles and Booker T runs away as RAW goes to commercial.

RAW comes back from commercial and shows Booker T running through the church and hiding in a pew. He looks up to see if Austin is anywhere. He then moves and hides under a table at the top of the church. Booker takes a priests clothes and poses but realizes it wont work and he moves again. Booker runs to the back of the church and opens a door and gets into the room.

(Lance Storm must win to gain a job in the WWF)
The Rock vs. Lance Storm
The bell rings as both men stare each other down. Both men lock up and take turns countering each other from behind. Rock gets Storm in a headlock. Rock takes Storm down with a jumping clothesline. Storm goes for a clothesline but Rock ducks and throws Storm over the top rope. Rock goes to the outside with Storm and nails his head off the announcer’s booth. Rock then puts on headset and talks trash about Lance Storm. Rock throws Storm back into the ring. Storm goes for another clothesline on Rock but Rock ducks. Rock goes for a clothesline of his but Storm ducks and the hits a dropkick on Rock. Storm goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Storm throws Rock into the corner but Rock bounces off and Storm hits a big clothesline. Storm goes for the pin and gets a 2 count. Storm goes for ANOTHER pin but gets another 2 count. Storm hits some hard rights on Rock. Storm goes off the ropes but Rock counters and hits Storm with a Samoan Drop. Both men are down. They both get up and Rock hits a few right hands on Storm. Rock throws Storm into the ropes and hits a big overhead belly to belly suplex. Rock hits a DDT on Storm and goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Storm tries for a jumping sidekick on Rock but Rock ducks and Storm takes out the referee. Rock locks the Sharpshooter on Storm. Test then comes down to the ring and breaks it up. Test connects Rock with the Pumphandle Slam. Test puts Storm on Rock and the referee makes the count 1, 2, Rock kicks out enraging Test. Storm gets up and hits a right hand on Rock. Storm comes off the rope but Rock hits a spinebuster on Storm. Test gets up on the ring apron and Rock knocks him off. Rock goes to the outside and attacks Test. Storm jumps out but misses Rock. Test then takes down Rock on the outside and Storm rolls in. The ref counts to 10 and then calls for the bell giving Lance Storm the win via the 10 count out. Storm celebrates in the ring knowing he has a job in the WWF.

Winner – Lance Storm

After the match, Rock gets back into the ring and waits for Lance Storm to turn around. Lance does but he doesn’t fall for it. Rock stares down Storm but then tells him there is no problem. Rock extends his hand to shake with Lance. They shake hands but Rock pulls Storm forward and hits the Rock Bottom.

Chris Jericho is shown backstage making his way to the arena with the Undisputed Championships over both shoulders as RAW goes to commercial.

RAW comes back from commercial showing Booker T in a confessional booth when a lady walks in and confesses her sins saying she committed adultery.

Chris Jericho gets on the mic and explains his accomplishments saying he beat The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to become the Undisputed Champion. He then says that he went onto beat Steve Austin the next night to remain the Undisputed Champion. He then refuses that he will defend his title against Rob Van Dam tonight because he doesn’t think he deserves it. He then says RVD is a cheater because on SmackDown he used a steel chair to beat the Champion. He says what kind of a man uses a steel chair and then deserves to stand in the same ring with a Living Legend. Jericho then calls out Ric Flair and tells him to come out here and overturn the decision on SmackDown and cancel his match with RVD tonight! Ric Flair comes out and gets on the mic. Flair says the answer to both questions is NO. Flair asks Jericho if he remembers that he was the one that brought the steel chair into the ring. Jericho gets on the mic and says he had nothing to do with bringing the chair into the ring and that he should sue him. Jericho things Flair is jealous of him since he is the Undisputed Champion. He doesn’t think Flair deserves to be in the same ring with him as well as RVD. Jericho thinks Flair is going through a mid life crisis. Flair gets in Jericho’s face and asks him if he just said he was in mid life crisis. Flair then says Jericho will defend his title tonight against RVD but he would be the Special Guest Referee, woooooo! RAW goes to commercial.

WWF REWIND: Edge hitting the Edge-cution on the steel chair opening up William Regal’s nose.

Tag Team Match
Edge & Rikishi vs. Kurt Angle & Test
Angle slides into the ring and charges at Rikishi starting the match. Angle gives Rikishi some hard rights in the corner. Rikishi throws Angle into the corner and hits a elbow. Angle falls to the ground and Rikishi goes for a stinkface but Test comes in. Rikishi ducks Test and superkicks him. Both Angle and Test lay in the corner and Rikishi looks to do a double stinkface but Angle gets up and takes Rikishi down with a clothesline. Test works on Rikishi and then Angle takes over. Angle goes off the ropes but Rikishi catches him and hits a Samoan Drop. Rikishi tags in Edge. Edge gets on the top rope and jumps taking Angle down. Test gets in and Edge ducks and takes him down. Edge takes Angle down with a behind the back drop on the neck and only gets a 2 count for the pin when Test breaks it up. Test and Rikishi fight on the outside. Angle goes for the Angle Slam on Edge in the ring but Edge counters out of it and Test comes into the ring and Edge gives him a spear. Edge turns around and this time Angle connects with a Angle Slam and gets the 1, 2, 3 for the win.

Winners – Edge & Rikishi

After the match, Rikishi takes down Test and Angle. Rikishi flips Angle over his back when Angle came off the ropes and Rikishi looks to fall on Angle’s chest but Test takes down Rikishi. The Rock then comes down and takes out Test and throws him into the corner. Rikishi then gives Test the stinkface as Test leaves choking and Kurt Angle looks on mad. RAW goes to commercial.

WWF Desire promo is shown of Triple H to the song “Beautiful Day” by U2. It then shows a graphic that says “Triple H returns January 7th."

Backstage, Michael Cole is shown with Test. Michael Cole finds it funny what just happens to him. Test then says it won’t be funny when he kicks the Rock’s ass on his show SmackDown. Test then pushes Michael Cole down.

Big Show & Tajiri w/ Torrie vs. Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo
Tajiri and Palumbo lock up to start the match but Palumbo takes Tajiri down. Palumbo works on Tajiri in the corner. Palumbo throws Tajiri into the other corner but Tajiri counters with a superkick. Tajiri goes for the pin but gets a 2 count. Tajiri hits some hard kicks to the leg on Palumbo followed by some punches to the face. Palumbo counters with a big overhead suplex and he tags in Billy Gunn. Gunn works on Tajiri in the corner. Gunn taunts at Big Show. Palumbo puts his boot up and Gunn hits Tajiri’s head off of it. Gunn tags in Palumbo and he gives Tajiri a big bodyslam. Palumbo picks up Tajiri by his stomach, Billy Gunn gets in and hits a bulldog. Gunn tags in Palumbo and does a few punches before tagging Palumbo right back in. Tajiri counters by giving Palumbo a big superkick to the face. Tajiri crawls over and tags in Big Show. Big Show takes down both Gunn and Palumbo. He hits a boot to the face on Palumbo followed by a clothesline in the corner. He does the same to Gunn and he then shoves Tajiri into him and Tajiri looks on the tarantula on the ropes. Palumbo hits a superkick on Show but Show hits a clothesline on Palumbo. Gunn runs at Show and hits the Fameasser. Tajiri gives a blind tag to Show and gets into the ring. Tajiri attempts to does his flip off the ropes but Torrie gets caught in the way and he knocks her out. Tajiri flips over Gunn’s back but Palumbo nails Tajiri as he goes off the ropes. Gunn picks up Tajiri and brings him back down hard. Gunn pins Tajiri to get the 1, 2, and 3 for the win.

Winners – Billy Gunn & Chuck Palumbo

Booker T is shown once again talking to a man who is confessing his sins. The man leaves and Booker T asks for the next person. Booker T asks the person to speak up but all the person says is WHAT. It turns out to be Stone Cold Steve Austin and he says he is going to commit a real, real, bad sin. Booker T leaves the room and Austin chases after him as RAW goes to commercial.

Booker T is still being chased by Austin when he stops in a room with a bunch of nun’s. They said there prayers have been answered because they need a ride to an orphanage. The nun’s think Austin is cute and he was probably an alter boy. Booker T leads the ladies out to the car as Austin gets mad. A priest walks up to Austin and welcomes him to the parish. Austin says WHAT.

RVD is shown walking around backstage and Ric Flair walks up to him. He wishes RVD good luck and asks him if he has ever used the Figure 4 Leg Lock before. RVD says he never has and Ric Flair tells him how it should be done as they walk off. RAW goes to commercial.

RAW comes back and Vince McMahon is in the middle of the ring. He introduces the Undisputed WWF Champion, the Living Legend, “Y2J” Chris Jericho! Vince joins ringside commentary.

Undisputed Championship – Special Guest Referee: Ric Flair

Both men lock up and Jericho breaks it up working on RVD’s elbow. RVD rolls and breaks out of the hold. Jericho gives RVD some chops to the chest. RVD rolls over Jericho’s back and ducks a clothesline and RVD sits down and flips Jericho over him. RVD climbs to the top rope and Jericho goes to the outside. Jericho turns around on the outside, RVD jumps and connects on Jericho. RVD puts Jericho back into the ring. RVD hits some elbows to the face and some kicks to the gut on Jericho in the corner. RVD sends Jericho into the other corner and connects to Jericho’s gut. Jericho takes down RVD and goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count from Ric Flair. Jericho bodyslams RVD and then hits 3 big elbow drops and then goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Jericho then puts RVD in a chin/headlock hold on the mat. RVD gets out of the move and Jericho and RVD exchange some elbows to the head. RVD gets sent into the other corner, bounces off, and Jericho hits a bulldog. Jericho attempts the Lionsault but RVD moves out of the way and Jericho takes RVD down once again and goes for the pin but Jericho only gets a 2 count. Jericho chokes RVD on the second rope and Jericho gets in Flair’s face. Jericho gives RVD some chops to the chest in the corner. Jericho sends RVD into the other corner but RVD jumps in the air and he rolls Jericho up into a small package but RVD only gets a 2 count. Jericho hits a hard right to the face of RVD as the fans begin to chant for RVD. Jericho hits a big hanging suplex on RVD and then Jericho puts his boot on RVD waiting for Flair to count the pin but RVD kicks out after 2. Jericho works on RVD on the ground. RVD comes off the ropes and he rolls up Jericho but once again gets a 2 count. Jericho chokes RVD on the second rope. RVD goes for kick but Jericho grabs his leg and holds it but then RVD turns himself around and hits a sidekick to the chest of Jericho. RVD gets to the top rope and does flip taking Jericho down and he goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. RVD then goes for a huricanranna on Jericho but Jericho pulls RVD back down and locks on the Walls of Jericho. RVD screams in pain trying to reach for the ropes. RVD finally gets the bottom rope continuing the match. Jericho grabs RVD and tries to put the Walls of Jericho on him again but RVD rolls Jericho up but gets a close 2 count. Flair gets in Jericho’s face and Jericho pushes him. Flair pushes Jericho down. RVD hits Jericho with a sidekick to the chest. RVD hits a rolling body drop to the chest of Jericho on the ground. RVD climbs the top rope and hits the 5 Star Frog Splash on Jericho. RVD goes for the pin, 1, 2, Vince pulls out Flair. Vince gets into the ring and Flair follows. Flair locks the Figure Four on Vince McMahon and RVD does the same to Chris Jericho. Both Chris Jericho and Vince McMahon are in the Figure Four! Flair is then forced to make the match a DQ in the end with Vince interfering.

RAW goes off the air with Flair holding up the arm of Rob Van Dam as both Chris Jericho and Vince McMahon lay in pain in the middle of the ring…
