RAW started with video highlights of each and every match and segment from last night's WrestleMania XXI.

Opening segment
Triple H came out. "You suck" chants broke, just as when HHH was about to talk, "Batista" chants started. HHH says that he admits it, last night at Mania, he lost the World Heavyweight Championship. But for anyone that think it's the beginning of a new era, they're wrong. Batista was great for one night. Triple H says it was one night only, Batista was awesome for one night. HHH said that he's great every night. He said that the belt Batista has, gravitates to greatness, meaning it will come back to him, because he owns it. HHH said that the greatest rematch, Batista vs. HHH II will take place and Triple H will become the 11-time champion. HHH promises that when he does get the belt back, he will come back to L.A. and jam the belt in each and everyone's throat.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Chris Jericho vs. Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin (c)

Jericho knocks down Christian. Benjamin delivers a clothesline to Christian, then Jericho delivered a back suplex. Jericho and Benjamin started taking turns, but it wasn't long before they went at it. Jericho takes down Benjamin. Benjamin fired back with a cross body, 1,2 but Jericho kicked out. Jericho fought back with a modified bulldog, then Christian nails Jericho from behind and throws him to the outside. In the ring, Benjamin delivers a back body drop to Christian. Christian fought back and delivered a modified neck breaker on Benjamin. Back breaker by Christian, 1,2 but Benjamin kicked out. Sleeper hold is applied by Christian, but Benjamin fought back, but Christian hit him and went on the top rope. Benjamin caught up and was going to superplex him, but Jericho sneaks from under him and delivered a powerbomb, while at the same time, Benjamin delivered a superplex on Christian. Jericho tosses Christian to the outside. Sunset flip by Benjamin, 1,2 but Christian interrupted the count. All three men are exchanging moves. Benjamin is in control and does the Stinger's splash on Jericho. Benjamin was tossed to the outside. Tyson Tomko nails him with a clothesline. Jericho does a spring board drop kick on Tomko, who was on the apron. Jericho applies the Walls of Jericho on Christian. Christian was trying to hang on, then Shelton goes on the top rope and delivers a flying bulldog on CHris Jericho and got the 1,2,3.

Winner & Still Intercontinental Champion: Shelton Benjamin

Edge signed the contract and gave it to Bischoff. Bischoff thought that Edge wanted to face Batista for the title tonight, but Edge said "Are you crazy? I am money in the bank!" Edge said that he will get his title shot when he asks for it. Eric Bischoff then makes a match between Edge and Chris Benoit for tonight.

Randy Orton in-ring segment
Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. Fans are booing. Orton said that it wasn't suppose to happen that way. He came close into making history, in beating the Undertaker. Orton said he was ready to beat the Undertaker with the Tombstone, and as he was going for it, his shoulder snapped and next thing he realized was that he got beaten. He said that if it wasn't because of his shoulder, he would have beaten the Undertaker. While his doctor was looking at his shoulder backstage, Orton was watching the PPV and saw Batista becoming champion. He said that he despises Batista. He said that even though he fought Taker, he respects him, he respects HHH, but not Batista. Orton said that he needs to beat Batista to get over last night's loss. Eric Bischoff comes out. Orton demands a match with Batista for tonight. Bischoff makes the match, Randy Orton vs. Batista as tonight's main event.

WWE Women's Championship Match
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Christy Hemme w/Lita

Trish kicked Christy before the match even started. Lita got in her face and Trish slapped her. Lita hit her back, then Trish kicked Lita's injured leg/knee and applied a submission hold on Lita. WWE referees came to break it up.

Winner: No contest. The match never started.

Coming up next, a special WrestleMania moment. Hulk Hogan's appearance at WM XXI.

Shawn Michaels segment
Shawn Michaels came out tonight to say thank you. He said that he only had two real love in his life. His family and the opportunity to come out and perform. Last night at WM XXI, the WWE fans, gave him the honor and privilege to be the show stoppa. He admits that things didn't work out the way he wanted them to be. He wants a rematch with Kurt Angle and basically asked the fans if they wanted to see it and they cheered him. Shawn said that he doesn't know when or how, but he will try everything in his power to give the fans what they want. This time, the results will be a little bit different. Muhammad Hassan came out with Daivari. Daivari started speaking in Farsi. Hassan takes the microphone and says that last night, the world witnessed the return of a legend, the Immortal Hulk Hogan. Hassan said that he doesn't understand why the fans cheered Shawn last night, after he had lost. He said that Shawn didn't steal the show last night, he tapped out and plain and simply lost. He doesn't get why the people cheer him. Because they embrace failure? Hassan said that Shawn may be a legend, but last night at Mania, Shawn proved that he was a loser. Hassan said not to worry, the fans will still cheer him, because losers love losers. Shawn knocks him down and Daivari too. But Shawn was out-numbered. They started beating on Shawn Michaels. Hassan applied the camel clutch, while Daivari kicked him in the face.

Edge vs. Chris Benoit
Benoit had stitches over his right eye and his left arm/bicep was taped up. Edge tried to go after Benoit's injured left arm, but Benoit delivered a couple of chops. Benoit delivered a hard elbow on Edge, and Benoit rolled out of the ring, selling the injury. Edge got out, and Benoit knocked him down. Back in the ring, Benoit is in control. Benoit knees him in the mid section. Benoit rolled out again. Edge went after him, but Benoit delivered a few chops to the chest. Benoit goes in the ring and does a baseball slide and Edge went face first into the mat. Benoit went back in the ring, attempting to pull Edge back in, but Edge grabbed Benoit's left arm and snapped it against the ropes. Edge is now in control. Edge has Benoit cornered and delivered several hits. Edge applies pressure on Benoit's left arm. Benoit tried to fight back, but Edge down him back down and applied an armbar submission hold. Benoit managed to get out of it and delivered a German suplex, followed by two other suplexes. Benoit signals for the end. Benoit goes on the top rope and went for a diving headbutt, but Edge moved out of the way. Both men are down. Edge covers, 1,2 but Benoit kicked out. As Benoit was rolling out of the ring from the pain, Edge delivered a baseball slide, which sent Benoit flying right to the outside.

Edge is applying pressure on Benoit's arm. Benoit fought back to escape the hold, but Edge kicked him back down. Edge goes on the top rope, then Benoit hits him with a few chops, while sitting on the top turnbuckle. Benoit got up and delivered a superplex. Both men are down, but managed to get up before the count of ten. Benoit applies the sharpshooter on Edge. It took Edge about a minute to reach the ropes. Benoit somehow applies the crossface, but Edge managed to escape and took down Benoit. Edge went for the spear, but Benoit moved out of the way, then Benoit rolled him up for the 1,2,3.

After the match, Edge attacked Benoit and sent him face first into the steal steps. Edge grabbed a chair and hit Benoit twice on his injured arm.

Winner: Chris Benoit

Simon Dean, Maven and Steve Austin segment
Simon Dean and Maven are in the ring. Dean said that Maven is looking good because of his Simon System. "Wouldn't you want to look as good as Maven?" Maven said that he got the impression that L.A. has beautiful women, but L.A. stands for Large Asses. Simon said that the fans prefer to sit in their seats, eat and drink beer. Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hits and he comes out. Austin grabs the microphone and says that it's good to be back. Austin pumps the crowd up. Austin said that he hates seeing sorry sum bitches selling crap in his ring. Austin said that he was listening and heard Simon say that he had problems with people drinking beer. Austin makes fun of Simon's hair. He tells Maven to grow his hair back and to stop trying to be like Stone Cold. Austin makes a proposition . He'll try his little diet shakes, if he drinks some of his beer. Simon says if it's a low carb beer. They toss Austin a couple of beers. Simon Dean says "Do you happen to have a glass?" Austin tells him to open the can and to drink. Simon blocks his nose and drank with a disgusted look on his face. He tells him to give him a few seconds to work out the calories. Simon started doing push ups. Austin asked him to do five more. Austin tells him five more. Austin tells him to do more push ups. Austin makes fun of Simon and asks for the protein shake. Austin drank his shake and said it's garbage. He said it's a rip off. Simon said it's a brand new formula. Austin said that it's crap to him. Maven said that perhaps Austin can't handle a man's drink, then pets Simon on the back, which caused Simon to accidently spill his shake on Austin. Austin knocks out Maven and goes after Simon Dean and beats him up. In the end, Austin gave him the stunner. Then he brought Maven back in and gave also him the stunner.

Backstage, Kane bumps into Randy Orton and tells him "I told you so. You can't beat what you don't understand." He tells Kane that he's wrong and he does understand, and he'll realize that when he's done with Batista. Kane starts laughing as Orton left.

Non-title match
Batista vs. Randy Orton

They lock up and Orton applied a side head lock, but Batista knocked him down. Orton suckered Batista with a European uppercut. Batista fought back with a couple of shots to the head. Hard knock down by Batista. Orton fought back with a drop kick and Batista goes to the outside. Randy Orton sends Batista into the steel steps.
Back in the ring and Orton is still in control Orton tries to keep Batista down by delivering several shots. Orton applies a head lock, then switches it into a sleeper. Batista managed to escape the hold. Batista picks Orton up and crushes him into the corner. Batista sends Orton shoulder first into the ring post and Orton goes to the outside. Batista gets out of the ring, picks him up and drives him into the steel post. Batista tosses him back in. As soon as they get back in the ring, Batista delivered a Spinebuster, followed by the Batista bomb and got the win.

Winner: Batista

After the match, Triple H came out and looked at Batista from the entrance ramp.
