Atlanta, GA based Lucha promotion “Mucha Lucha Atlanta” makes its return on July 17th to the Atlanta area in Norcross, Georgia. At Mucha Lucha ATL’s last event “MuchaLuchaMania” stars from all over the world, including the stars of AAA and Lucha Underground, descended upon the promotion and created one of the most electric nights in Independent wrestling all year. Many of those same stars including the same trio of Lucha Underground/AAA stars return for “The Reckoning” on a show that will feature three champions on the line including one match that will feature two different titles up grabs!

Alex Cruz & David Tita vs. The Lynch Mob
David Tita is fresh off of his big appearance in Mexico for ELITE Lucha Libre, CMLL’s sister promotion, taking part in the Elite International Tournament representing his home country Cameroon. Tita fell to ROH star Lio Rush in the opening round of the tournament but made his home country and MLA very proud of his performance. At “The Reckoning” Tita will team up with Florida independent star Alex Cruz to face the young, exciting team The Lynch Mob. All four of these stars are very young and looking to impress MLA officials in this match up. Tita is coming off of a victory over the massive Odinson while The Lynch Mob fell to The Suicide Squad at that same event. This will be Cruz’s debut with MLA.

Serpentico, Oraculo, & Vary Morales vs. The Black Fear
At “MuchaLucha Mania” Vary Morales was on opposite sides of the ring in a Trios Match teaming with Bestia and Mr. 450 against The LWO trio of Lince Dorado, Serpentico, and Oraculo. This time around Morales will be teaming with the high flying Serpentico and Oraculo against a trio of new masked rudos calling themselves The Black Fear. Not much is known about the Black Fear, other than they are regulars around the Texas Lucha scene, but if you have ever seen the Los Vipers group in Mexico you will notice similarities in their look. Serpentico and Oraculo were making some waves earlier this month when they appeared alongside a masked Mitt Romney at a Charity Lucha event earlier this month in a pretty cool moment.

CLL International All-Star Championship
Septimo Dragon vs. Shynron (c)
Last month DTU star Septimo Dragon impressed many people in a wild high flying affair with Lucha Underground star AR Fox. Now, Dragon will go face to face with a man that AR Fox helped train in the CLL International All-Star Champion Shynron with that title on the line. Shynron won the Chile based title back in 2014 and has defended that title in Chile, the USA, and Canada ever since. After defeating Shynron’s trainer at “MuchaLucha Mania” Dragon will now look to take Shynron’s title. Shynron recently competed for TNA and is a regular for CHIKARA in the eastern part of the USA. Septimo Dragon has been wrestling all over the southeast since his debut with Mucha Lucha ATL and will look to continue to build his name in the states here.

Mr. 450 vs. Drago
Puerto Rican star “Mr. 450” Jesus de Leon almost caused a riot the last time he appeared for Mucha Lucha ATL at “MuchaLucha Mania.” Over the past year Mr. 450 has become one of the top stars in Puerto Rico and has appeared for the WWE as a part of NXT, AAA in Mexico, and even took part in a classic battle with Rey Misterio Jr. in Puerto Rico. Now, he will jump in the ring with one of AAA and Luhca Underground’s most exciting stars: Drago! This will be the debut for both Drago and Mr. 450 in a singles match at Mucha Lucha ATL. At “MuchaLucha Mania” Mr. 450 took part in a Trios Match while Drago was a part of the PdM Fatal 4-Way. If you are looking for a show stealer of a match on this card then look no further than this one.

MLA Championship & PdM Light Heavyweight Championship
Triple Threat Match
Tigre del Ring (MLA Champ) vs. Fenix (PdM Champ) vs. Pentagon Jr.
At “MuchaLucha Mania” Pentagon Jr. won the vacant (at the time) Perrso del Mal Light Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal 4-Way that also included Fenix, Drago, and Mucha Lucha ATL Champion Tigre del Ring. Pentagon ended up inning Tigre to win the championship and then challenged Tigre to defend his title against Pentagon in a Title vs. Title Match at the next MLA event which Tigre accepted. Pentagon’s brother Fenix tossed a wrench into those plans when he defeated Pentagon for the title at an event in Texas last month. Mucha Lucha ATL made the decision to put Fenix, Tigre, and Pentagon all back in the ring together with both titles on the line in a winner takes all 3-Way Dance! Pentagon and Fenix have been tearing it up all over the world wrestling each other in places like Mexico, America, Japan, and the UK, and Tigre del Ring is hungry to prove himself against these international superstars.
