Kurt Angle on TNA: “My contract is up in August”

During an appearance on “The Fight Show” with Mauro Ranallo, TNA star Kurt Angle opened up about his contractual status with TNA Wrestling and his thoughts on Kevin Nash and Booker T returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble.

“My contract is up in August. I’m gonna keep option(s) open. You know, I like TNA. I like being there. I like how the company has built (itself) in the last four and a half years I’ve been there. I’d like to think I’ve been a big part of TNA. So, I enjoy being in TNA. I love it here. I don’t have any plans of leaving.

You know, I don’t think Kevin Nash or Booker T had plans of jumping either. They were actually up until a couple days before the Rumble, they were signed with TNA. In essence they asked for their releases at the last second, TNA gave them their wish and they ended up in WWE.

You never know what can happen in pro wrestling. You know how it goes. You just have to do what is best for the individual. That’s what I’m going to do and do what is best for Kurt Angle. I can tell you they treat me really well here and yes, I’ve had some difficult times in TNA. But I like the direction the company is going. I like the talent they have acquired.”
