Representatives for Genichiro Tenryu were attempting to get Ric Flair to wrestle Tenryu this November in Japan in what would be Tenry’s 35th anniversary event. Flair expressed interest in taking part, but his TNA contact wouldn’t allowing any kind of a wrestling appearance unless they were booked through TNA. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Tenryu’s people contacted TNA, agreed to what they saw as an “easy booking fee”, but then felt TNA was being uncooperative and moved on.
