WWE said to have contacted Jeff Hardy about a return

According to Fightful and the Wrestling Observer, John Laurinaitis has reportedly called Jeff Hardy and offered him a spot in the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame as a way to get him back with the company.

Both reports note that Hardy is said to have turned down the offer and wanted the results from his drug test, which reportedly took six weeks to get back.

Jeff was released by WWE on December 9, 2021 after teaming with Drew McIntyre and King Xavier Woods at a live event back on December 4, 2021.

Many fans that were in attendance at the show said that during the match, Jeff was sluggish. He left then left the ringside area through the crowd after tagging out.

Videos from fans surfaced on social media. WWE sent Jeff home on December 5.
