WWE SmackDown kicks off with the new Unified WWE Tag Team champions The Usos. They welcome everyone to SmackDown and say before they celebrate, they need everyone to put their one’s in the sky and say thank you to the tribal chief, the needle mover, the head of the table, the Undisputed Universal champion, Roman Reigns.
Jey says he would like to thank Roman for allowing them to defeat RK-Bro on their own. Jey says off script, if you have been rocking with them since day one, yesterday marks 12 years in the WWE. And 12 years ago they walked down that ramp and never in a million years would he think they would still be standing in the ring in front of them. THat means for 12 years they cheered them, they booed them, you have seen their ups and downs. But that means for 12 years they watched them grow in front of them. And for 12 years all these plane rides, the miles, the time away from their family, Jey asks Jimmy if he knows who was there. They look at the fans and Jey says it was all of them.
He says the world is crazy these days. He loves coming here every week and being an entertainer in front of them. And from the bottom of their hearts, from his family, he would like to say thank you. The fans chant Usos.
Jimmy says for the past 12 years, they realised that they needed nobody. The Usos laugh and Jimmy says all he needed was his right hand man Jey Uso. And Jey says he needed his twin brother. They didn’t need the fans. Jimmy says they are the Unified Tag Team champions. The fans boo as Jey tells them not to boo them but to boo Randy Orton because he is not there tonight.
Jey says Riddle was crying like a little kid just like they made the kids cry last week. They say they are the one’s and celebrate in the ring.
Out comes Shinsuke Nakamura. He says his brother and himself challenge them for a match for the tag team championships. And his brother wanted to face them on their own. Jimmy asks where his partner is at because Rick Boogs is injured. Nakamura says here he is and out comes Riddle.
Both men walk down to the ring. They get on the ring apron and all four men begin to fight. Riddle gets in the ring but The Usos throw him to the outside of the ring. Nakamura gets in the ring as Riddle climbs the top rope and hits them with the Flying Bro. Nakamura with a kick to Jimmy as he falls to the outside. Riddle with kicks onto Jey as he falls to the outside of the ring.
Raquel Rodriguez walks down to the ring. Shotzi is backstage with the women in the locker room. She asks them why Raquel is getting another opportunity instead of them.
A great promo by the Usos. They have held that tag team division together with The New Day for years. Without the Usos, the tag division would have died. And with Riddle on SmackDown, the brand split is over. #SmackDown

-Commercial Break-
Shotzi is with Shayna and Natalya backstage. They all walk towards the ring with Natalya and Baszler in front of her. The door closes but Shotzi is locked inside the locker room. Aliyah is shown with the key as she locked her out.
Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez
The bell rings and we are under way. A punch by Ronda as Raquel gets her with a wrist lock take down. Ronda back up as she goes for an arm bar but Raquel lifts her up. Ronda rolls up for the cover but Raquel kicks out. A kick by Raquel and a gut wrench by Raquel. In come Baszler and Natalya who attack them both as the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: No contest
-Commercial Break-
Ronda Rousey and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Shayna Baszler and Natalya
Back from commercial and the match is already under way. Baszler with kicks onto Raquel’s hamstring. Raquel throws Baszler to the outside of the ring. Baszler back in the ring and Natalya is tagged in. Natalya goes for the sharpshooter but Baszler kicks her away and Ronda is tagged in. Ronda with several take downs.
Ronda with a kick but Natalya catches her leg. Natalya gets her in the sharpshooter but Ronda makes the tag. Shayna is tagged in. Raquel with right hands. Raquel with a headbutt. Raquel climbs the second rope, she hits her with a corkscrew elbow drop. She goes for the cover but Natalya breaks it up. Ronda gets in the ring and she throws Natalya to the outside. Raquel pushes Shayna into Ronda. Natalya grabs Ronda to the outside. Raquel hits her with the tajata bomb. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Ronda Rousey and Raquel Rodriguez
They are actually trying to build Raquel Rodriguez up. She is being built up as a threat to Ronda Rousey. #SmackDown

Megan is backstage with The New Day. She asks people want to know who their tag partner will be tongiht. Kofi says does Netflix give away the ending to Stranger Things? WOods tells her people have been calling them all week wanting to be their partner. Woods says their partner can be anyone. Kofi says their partner can even be her.
What they have by their side is the element of surprise. They will not be outnumbered and they will win because New Day rocks.
-Commercial Break-
Jinder Mahal and Shanky vs. Los Lotharios
We cut backstage and Jinder is looking for Shanky. He opens a door and sees Shanky dancing. Jinder tells him to get to the ring. Both men walk down to the ring.
The bell rings and we are under way. SHanky is in the ring with Carillo and Carillo on the second rope as he jumps but Shanky catches him. He sends Humberto to the ropes and a big boot by Shanky. An arm bar by Shanky and Jinder is tagged in. Jinder sends Humberto to the ropes and a hurricanrana by Humberto followed by a dropkick. Garza is tagged in and they double team Jinder. Right hands by Garza followed by a head lock. Carillo is tagged in and Jinder and Jinder to the outside. Carillo goes to the outside of the ring and looks at Samantha the time keeper. He begins to dance as Shanky dances behind him and hits him with a big kick. In the ring, Humberto with a spinning kick onto Jinder. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Los Lotharios
Jinder yells at Shanky telling him that they lost because of him. Shanky looks at Samantha, he points and dances.
Adam Pearce is backstage and in comes Max Dupri. He tells Adam if they can start recruiting the next generation of WWE superstars. Adam says he reached out to legal and his contract is legal and binding. Adam says effective immediately, he is welcoming him to SmackDown.
Max tells him finding the first client is on. He tells Adam he doesn’t make the cut.
Los Lotharios with another one but Shanky dancing actually got a reaction from the crowd. They started chanting his name and WWE gave him lots of camera time too. #SmackDown

The KO-Show with Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is in the ring as he welcomes everyone to the KO-Show. He says he is there for one reason and one reason only. For the past few months, he has been seeking the truth and dealing with a disgusting liar. Not Ezekiel but Elias and at Hell in a Cell he will make Elias regret ever showing his face.
Owens welcomes the locker room leader of SmackDown, the close, personal confidant of the Bloodline, Sami Zayn.
Both men hug as Zayn says the last time they were together, there was some bad blood but they have always been like that. Owens says he is the locker room they need. And what he is doing for the Bloodline is unbelievable. Zayn says Owens has been great on Raw. He says Elias and Ezekiel are clearly the same person as Owens hugs him. Zayn asks him if he is crying. Owens says he is not crying.
Owens says everyone knows he is a liar but he knew Zayn would have his back just like he had his back during the conspiracy theory stuff. He says he needs Zayn to drop everything he is doing on SmackDown to go to Raw with him and have him call up all the liars, beginning with Elias.
Zayn says he has a lot on his plate. The locker room needs him, the Bloodline needs him. He calls Owens Uss. Owens asks him if he just called him Uss. Owens says that is the side of him he forgot, the naive, delusional side. Owens says he is not in the Bloodline. Zayn says he is an associate. Owens says he is not in the Bloodline and he is sorry he has to say that but Zayn coming out wearing a Bloodline shirt makes him look like a moron. Zayn says Elias and Ezekiel are two different people. They are brothers. One has a beard, one doesn’t. Zayn asks who the moron is.
Owens says Zayn is a big moron because they are not the same person. Zayn calls him a liar and Owens says he is a moron. Zayn says liar, liar, pants on fire as Owens says that is too far. Zayn apologizes. Owens asks him why the Bloodline left him high and dry on Raw. Owens says if he calls out the Bloodline, surely they won’t leave him out high to dry. He calls out the Bloodline.
No one comes out. Owens says the reason they are not coming out is because they could not care less about him and he tells Zayn he is sorry. Zayn says he doesn’t know what he is talking about as he drops the microphone and leaves. Owens follows him as Zayn pushes him and tells him to go back to Raw as he has a locker room to run. Two men are taking out the KO Show signs as Owens gives them both stunners.
That was a great KO Show but this better not be another Owens and Zayn feud. #SmackDown

Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser vs. Drew Gulak and Ricochet
The bell rings and we are under way. Ludwig and Gulak are in the ring. Gulak with a take down but Ludwig reverses it into an arm bar. A head lock by Gulak but Kaiser reverses it. He distracts the referee and Gunther hits Gulak with a boot to the face. Gunther is tagged in. He lifts Gulak up and throws him over the top rope to the outside of the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Gunther with a chop to the chest onto Gulak. Kaiser is tagged into the match. A waistlock onto Gulak and Gulak with an elbow to the face. Ricochet is tagged in. Kicks by Ricochet followed by a hurricanrana. Ricochet with a springboardcrossbody off the second rope. Ricochet with a knee to the face. He lifts Kaiser on his shoulders but Kaiser lands on his feet. Gulak is tagged in as Kaiser throws Ricochet to the outside of the ring. Kaiser with a suplex onto Gulak.
Kaiser runs to the ropes and a running kick onto Gulak. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser
Gunther with a right hand onto Ricochet after the ring. Kaiser with a running knee onto Gulak.
Zayn is backstage with The Usos. He asks them what they think of him. He is thinking if he can join the Bloodline. He asks if he can be an honorary member. Jimmy says yeah, honorary Uss. Zayn says this is the right choice. And he got them and he knows if he ever needs anything, they will be there. Jey doesn’t look happy as both he and Jimmy enter the locker room.
Gunther and Kaiser are just a great act. #SmackDown

Six man tag team match – Sheamus, RIdge Holland and Butch vs. The New Day and a partner
Sheamus is in the ring and he says it’s fight night every night. He says Kofi and Woods don’t have the bollocks to tell them who their partner is. They can bring out King Kong, Godzilla or even Moby Dick, they are going to get a beating from the Brawling Bruts. He says New Day doesn’t rock, New Day sucks.
Out come The New Day. Woods asks who is this Moby Dick they are talking about. He says Sheamus is right that tonight is fight night but tonight will not be two against three. It will be an unfair fight and that is because they found a real physical specimen. They found a true freak of nature. A man who will steal Ridge’s girlfriend and Butch’s auntie at the same time.
Woods tells Sheamus that this man will not have a problem kicking him in that ugly mug he calls a face. Woods ask if they want to know who their partner is. Drew McIntyre comes down to the ring.
-Commercial Break-
The bell rings and we are under way. Butch and Woods in the ring and a kick by Woods. Kofi is tagged in and a swinging neck breaker by Woods followed by a splash by Kofi. He goes for the cover but Butch kicks out. Woods tagged back in and a double bulldog on Butch. Right hands by Woods.
He lifts Butch up but a right hand by Butch. Sheamus is tagged in and he stomps on Woods and gets him on the ring apron. Sheamus with the 10 beats of the Bodhran. Butch is tagged in and he hits Woods on the ring apron. Ridge Holland is tagged in and he suplexes Woods into the ring. He throws Woods to the ropes but Woods tags Kofi in. Kofi jumps off the second rope and hits Holland with a dropkick. Woods is tagged back in. He stomps on Holland. In comes Butch as Woods throws him to the outside of the ring. Drew is tagged in. He stomps on Holland in the corner. Kofi is tagged in. Butch gets on the ring apron but Drew knocks him down.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Sheamus with a knee to the face onto Kofi from the top rope. He goes for the cover but Kofi kicks out. He goes for the Irish Curse Backbreaker but Kofi lands on his feet and he hits Sheamus with a kick. Kofi tries to tag Woods and Drew but both are thrown off the ring apron. Holland throws Drew into the ring steps. Sheamus hits Kofi with the Alabama Slam. He goes for the cover but Kofi kicks out. Sheamus goes for a right hand but Kofi hits him with the SOS. Drew gets on the ring apron and he is tagged into the match. Sheamus tags Holland in. Drew with a clothesline.
Drew with an elbow to the face. He hits Holland with a belly to belly. Butch jumps off the top rope but Drew catches him and hits him with a belly to belly. Drew with a neck breaker onto Holland. Butch jumps on Drew but Drew throws him to the outside of the ring. Woods with a splash onto Butch. Holland throws Woods into the ring steps. Kofi with a splash over the top onto Sheamus. Holland picks Drew up but Drew lands on his feet.
McIntyre hits him with the Glasgow Kiss. He hits Holland with the Claymore. Woods is tagged in. Woods on the top rope, he with an elbow off the top rope. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: The New Day and Drew McIntyre
I said it last week, Drew will be the New Day’s partner and he was. A fun match and Drew is a crowd favorite. #SmackDown

A good SmackDown and one that did not include Roman Reigns. It felt like they ended the brands with Riddle and Kevin Owens there too. No build up to Hell in a Cell but still a show worth watching. #SmackDown
