Top WWE Superstar suffers potential legitimate injury during house show

AJ Styles potentially suffered an injury to his left leg/ankle after a top rope move, during a six-person tag team match at Thursday’s WWE Holiday Tour event at the Giant Center held in Hershey, PA. Styles was teaming with Doc Gallows and Mia Yim in a match against Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.

Fans are saying the match was stopped after Styles did a spot over the tope rope to the outside. It is further being said by fans that the referee threw up the X sign to indicate a potential injury after Styles grabbed his left leg/ankle.

Sources, including F4WOnline are reporting that after WWE officials came out to check on Styles, he had to be helped to the back by Gallows and Anderson. Fans, per PWInsider are saying Styles did not return to the match. The OC did win the match.

The 45-year old Styles last injury came at the 2020 Royal Rumble, when his shoulder was injured after getting hit with a spear by Edge. Styles missed some in-ring action due to the injury.

PWInsider is reporting the potential injury is 100 percent legitimate and not a storyline or work. It was further said that it is likely an ankle injury, and that Styles will be getting it checked out as soon as possible.  PWInsider did confirm earlier reports that Styles was having issues putting weight on his left foot.

We will provide an injury update as more information becomes available.
