WWE Superstar Finn Balor took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that he suffered a grade 2 calf tear during the March 10 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Balor did not indicate what caused the injury.
Balor noted his estimated recovery time is six to eight weeks. Despite the tear, Balor still wrestled against WWE Hall of Famer Edge in the Hell in a Cell Match at WrestleMania 39 Night Two.
During the match, Balor was busted open after a ladder hit his head. Officials then stopped the match so that they could tend to Balor. Following the match, Balor received multiple stitches in his head. Balor lost the match to Edge.
