Fightful Select has indicated thay have confirmed that Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai was also injured during the same match back on the May 12 episode, with Liv Morgan and and Raquel Rodriguez defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Kai and Bayley.
On last Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, it was announced that Morgan and Rodriguez were forced to relinquish the Women’s Tag Titles after only holding them for just 39 days. During a backstage segment with Kayla Braxton interviewing Rodriguez, Bayley and IYO SKY came in an interrupted the interview, saying that Kai had suffered a “much more devastating, and heartbreaking injury.”
As of this writing, the exact details surrounding Morgan and Kai’s injuries are unknown, or how both women will be out of action. However, Fightful Select did not that the extent of Kai’s injury is worse than Morgan’s.
A four-way tag team match to crown new champions will take place on the May 29 episode of Monday Night Raw. The match will be Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler vs. Bayley and SKY vs. Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville vs. Rodriguez and a mystery partner. WWE has yet to officially announced who Rodriguez’s partner will be. However, WWE taped the May 26 episode of SmackDown, which reveals who Rodriguez’s partner will more than likely be.
