According to a report by F4WOnline, WWE Tag Team Champion Kevin Owens has been wrestling with a fractured rib.
The report notes Owens has been working with the injury “for a while” and that WWE has been waiting to finish up with the current storyline to give him a break. It is unclear as of this writing how long Owens will be out of action, or what the status is as it pertains to the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships that Owens holds with Sami Zayn.
During Monday’s episode of Raw, Owens was taken out by The Judgment Day after Zayn’s singles match with Dominik Mysterio. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley tossed Owens into the entranceway, which caused a distraction for Zayn, which led to him losing the match.
Later, in the show, Owens was shown being checked on by medical staff, indicating he thought something was broken.
Also, per the same report from F4WOnline, Liv Morgan being taken out by Rhea Ripley Monday night was done to write Morgan off TV, as she is dealing with a legitimate injury. Rhea viciously attacked Morgan’s left shoulder using a chair.
It was further noted that while Ripley attacked Morgan’s left shoulder, it is her right shoulder that is actually injured.
The report concluded by saying the details of the injury and when it occurred are currently unknown, or how long Morgan will be out of action.
