Report: Long-time employee and Warrior Award Winner let go from WWE

According to a report from PWInsider, the longest running WWE employee, 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Warrior Award winner Sue Aitchison was let go from the company on Friday. She was with WWE for 38 years, serving as the Director of Community Relations for WWE.

PWInsider also notes Aitchinson started with the company back in 1986. During her time with the WWE, she was credited for leading the company’s community outreach programs, including being directly responsible for WWE’s relationship with Make-A-Wish and helping start the WrestleMania Reading Challenge.

PWInsider also notes that Aitchinson’s departure was said to have been a shock and was yet another sign of the end of the old WWE era.

The report concluded by saying that although Aitchinson’s responsibilities had lessened in recent years, she was considered one of the true mainstays in WWE, she had a run working behind the scenes that will likely never be matched, much less surpassed.

Aitchison spent 38 years in WWE.
