Wrestleview is sad to report that multi-time champion Dory Funk, Jr. (Dorrance Earnest Funk) has passed away at the age of 85.
The news of Funk’s death was shared by the Ocala Gazette, which notes Funk was in hospice care at the time of his passing.
Funk wrestled for various promotions. He worked for the NWA from 1963-1997, AJPW from 1973-1986, and WWE in 1986. He also made appearances for ECW in 1994 and 1997 and took part in the WCW 1993 Slamboree Legends Reunion pay-per-view.
