AEW Dynamite airs live Wednesday night on TBS and HBO Max from the Credit Union of Texas Events Center in Allen, Texas with a start time of 8:00 pm ET.
At the time of this writing, AEW is advertising the following:
-Championship celebration for newly crowned AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Mone’
-AEW World Trios Championships Match: The New Level (Kofi and Austin Creed) and Swerve Strickland defending against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed)
The question is who will emerge as the Mone’s challenger for the title. It is expected that Thekla will be Mone’s next opponent. Thekla returned to AEW TV at this past Sunday’s All In Free Buy In show after dropping the title to Willow Nightingale at Redemption in July. With Thekla expected to be the next opponent for Mone’, the question is, do we see Thekla turn face, or is Mone’s set for a face turn? Another possibility to add to the mix could be former WWE star Kairi Sane, who was abruptly released this past April. Sane spent time in Stardom, where Thekla also spent time before signing with AEW.
With Nightingale looking to be nursing a broken hand, it is not expected she will return to the Women’s title anytime picture soon.
How about the World Trios Champions? The match could go two ways. The champions win clean or we get outside interference from former champions The Demand and former champions Brody King, Bandido and Hangman Adam Page, setting up a title match for All Out on September 26.
It is expected that AEW will announce more matches and segments, including hearing from Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega, who was defeating by Opsreay at All In to win the World Championship. In addition, after an almost two-year absence, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD made her surprise return to AEW at All In, costing Maya World the TBS Championship in a title defense against CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone on the All In free Buy In show.
Descension in the Don Callis Family continues, as Kazuchika Okada won the International Championship in a three way match against Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher at Sunday’s All In. Former champion Kyle Fletcher reluctantly raised the hand of Okada following the loss. What’s in store for the Don Callis Family on Dynamite, as they also have one less title after Darby Allin regained the TNT Title from Kevin Knight at the All In PPV.
Following their successful World Tag Team Title defense against the Young Bucks at All In this past Sunday, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage were confronted in the ring by the Motor City Machine Guns and FTR, who are fresh off having won the Undisputed British Tag Team Titles at Saturday’s RevPro 14th Anniversary event in London.
