Sorry for the late column this week guys. I was out of town all weekend, starting Thursday and I got a few e-mails asking where the column was (so that boosted my ego a little at least since I know that at least a FEW people read it). Here it is, better late than never! Also, since I missed “Masked Warriors” as well, instead of doing a whole other detailed recap I decided to just give a rundown at the end of the column this week. Sorry again guys.

Lady Apache Expecting Child

AAA

Alex Koslov Wrestles on WWE TV

This week AAA star Alex Koslov wrestled on WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown! when he went one-on-one with Alberto del Rio as a mystery opponent. Koslov wrestled under the name, Carlos Sanchez. AAA’s Dorian Roldan said this was a tryout match for Koslov in WWE and that he would be finishing out the year for AAA and then would head to FCW in 2011. The match went all of about 3 minutes and Koslov was completely destroyed by the former Dos Caras. Koslov were generic tights and was billed as being from California. Alberto ended the match with the Flying Armbreaker. The video of the beatdown is below:

L.A.X. Reunion in AAA
Rumors about a L.A.X. reunion in AAA have started since Homicide was released from TNA last week. The rumor is that AAA wants to bring in Homicide to reform the group with Konnan and Hernandez (why they couldn’t just ask TNA if they could bring Homicide in is beyond me). Nothing has been confirmed though.

AAA Luchadora Gets TNA Tryout
At this weeks TNA “iMPACT!” TV Tapings AAA luchdaora, Christina Von Eerie, received a tryout on the show. A tie-in with TNA is that Christina is one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions with Alex Koslov, who wrestled as part of Team International in the 2008 World X-Cup in TNA. At the taping Von Eerie teamed with Shannon Moore to defeat Cookie (Becky Bayless) & Okada in a Dark Match. She was said to have been impressive.

LL-USA Masked Warriors
We were introduced to a new luchadore by the name of “Mentallo” at the opening where he ended up picking some guys pocket on the street as he walked by. Mentallo then opened up the show in the first match going one-on-one with another new luchadore, Azteko. They had a decent little back and forth match which saw Azteko hit a Tope Suicida on the outside. Azteko even did a Big Wiggle and honestly, since he was pretty dark, I wouldn’t have been surprised if that really was Norman Smiley (he actually wrestled in CMLL in the 90’s as Black Magic, even winning the CMLL Heavyweight Title). One big problem, Norman works for the WWE. In the end Azteko went for a springboard move but Montello nailed him with a dropkick in midair and then hit his finisher, the Identity Theft (Diving Double Foot Stomp from the top) for the win. Lizmark Jr. then ran out and nailed Azteko with a Lizmark Bomb making a statement for the rest of the show.

Following the break Lizmark Jr. ran out and called out Marco Corleone saying he was tired of waiting to face Marco and he wants to finish their rivalry now. Marco doesn’t make him wait very long and walks down to the ring, but RelliK follows behind him and attacks him as he started to get in the ring. Lizmark hit the Superkick on Marco and then he and RelliK put the beatdown on him. Super Nova runs out and hits a Double Missile Dropkick off the top on RelliK and Lizmark Jr. and then the rudos bail out.

A video is shown that supposedly is the “video that RJ Brewer doesn’t want you to see” which is something that they found on ‘late night’ supposedly. The blonde girl that helped Brewer last week, who is named Brooke apparently, is shown talking about “f*cking” Brewer and flashing the camera (censored obviously). The DVD the commercial is for claims to have ‘too hot for TV’ action of Brooke, the video is called “Brooke Carter Exposed” supposedly.

The final Quarterfinal match of the LL-USA Heavyweight Title Tournament is up next featuring RJ Brewer (accompanied by Brooke Carter) going one-on-one with Mascara Purpura. Brooke goes old school heel manager/valet during the match choking Mascara behind the referee’s back and other dastardly deeds. Another decent one-on-one match here and Brooke ends up helping Brewer win the match by giving Brewer extra leverage as he pinned Purpura. Brewer moves onto the Semifinals of the Heavyweight Title Tournament now.

In the back Rebecca spoke with Carlito, who is now going by Carlitos (which is kind of confusing since Carlito’s home promotion, WWC, has a guy who wrestles as Carlitos as well). Carlitos cuts a promo on teaching Tinieblas and company some respect and even cracks some jokes on Rebecca about being married to Pequeno Halloween.

A vignette of Montello stealing Lujo Esquire’s money online is shown.

Mascarita Dorada listens to Rebecca whining bout Pequeno tricking her last week. Pequeno Halloween walks in to see Mascarita hugging Rebecca and then he yells at Rebecca and then he talks trash to Mascarita. Mascarita even says that what Halloween did to Rebecca was “f*cked up” (in Spanish) and then Halloween attacks him. He tells Rebecca to have dinner on the table by the time he gets home.

Some nerd does an intro video for the Main Event.

Carlitos gets his own entrance and he will be the captain for his team. He signs some autographs on his way to the ring. On his trunks it says “Eat Spit” and he looks pretty ripped. Pretty fun Main Event (PR Powers & Carlitos vs. Tinieblas Jr., El Oriental, & Neutronic) with the Powers doing all their crazy high spots and Carlitos looking a little rusty but seeming to be having fun for the first time in awhile. The finish came when Carlitos hit the Backstabber on Tinieblas and then SJK hit the 450 Splash on Tinieblas for the pin.
