Dark Family In Japan
AAA’s Dark Family members Ozz & Cuervo continued their tour Japan in All Japan this week with a lot of success. The Dark Family stunned many when they won the AJPW Tag Team Titles from Great Muta & Kenzo on 10/23. In the match Muta turned on Kenzo leading to the finish. Dark Family are the 60th champions in the belts history.

– After the opener La Parka Jr. came out and says that he turned rudo because for 15 years he was loyal to AAA and the fans, but then they brought L.A. Park back in and the fans turned on him.
– Parka Jr. was still on the tecnico side in the 4th match but refused to help his buddies which lead to Billy pinning Evans.
– Perro fouled Zorro to cause the DQ in the Main Event and Drago suffered an arm injury during the match. Parka Jr. ran out and jumped Wagner after the match.

Lucha Libre USA Staying on TV
Following all of the rumors about LL-USA’s 2nd season of “Masked Warriors” coming to an early end, LL-USA stated on their Facebook that it was a mistake by TV Guide and the season isn’t ending early. This week’s episode won’t air but it will pick back up next week.

WWE Try Outs
A poster on Box y Lucha made a list of luchadors that he claims tried out for the WWE during the WWE’s tour of Mexico. The claims are that Hijo del Fantasma, Bestia 666, Volador Jr., La Sombra, Magnus, Averno, Dr. Wagner III, Daga, Hijo de L.A. Park, Zumbi, and Karaoui all tried out. It’s pretty much the consensus that Hijo del Fantasma had the best try out and it’s kind of seemed like a foregone conclusion over the last couple of years that he would end up in America at some point. He speaks very good English and that will be a major plus for him. Sombra & Volador were said to have impressed as well. Wrestling Observer confirmed the list of stars that tried out for the WWE during the Mexican Tour. An interesting note is that the Observer claims Averno, Sombra, & Volador are going to be suspended by CMLL for trying out. For now all 3 are still listed on immediate lineups and they have appeared on all their scheduled events since the try outs.
Serena Deeb Out, Marty Jannetty In for CHIKARA
This week former WWE Diva, Serena Deeb, announced that she had recently suffered a concussion in a match so she would have to miss some time in the ring including this weekend’s CHIKARA events. Her opponent on 10/29, Sara del Ray, will enter the Countdown Showdown Battle Royal instead. Also, former WWE Intercontinental Champion and 1/2 of the legendary tag team The Midnight Rockers (with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels) Marty Jannetty will compete on the 10/29 card! Jannetty make will make his CHIKARA debut in a match against BdK’s massive monster Tursas.
Tommy Dreamer to CHIKARA
This week CHIKARA Pro announced that former ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer, would be appearing on the 11/13 “High Noon” iPPV. Dreamer will be standing in the corner of Eddie Kingston (who grew up idolizing Dreamer) in Kingston’s matchup against Mike Quackenbush to crown the first CHIKARA Grand Champion.
