Rey Bucanero Update

Back in May Bucanero tore his ACL in a defense of his CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship against Ephesto (who has still yet to defend the belt). He was originally expected to return in December but said this week that he is more likely to return in early 2010. He said he expects doctors to clear him in December but needs some time to get back into ring shape and knock some rust off before getting back into the ring.

Black Warrior Is Officially Kicked Out of Poder Mexica
A few weeks ago Sangre Azteca and his boys kicked Black Warrior out of their group, Poder Mexica and this week CMLL.com confirmed that it was official and Misterioso II has taken his place in the group finally officially. The thing is it leaves the Mexican National Trios Titles up in the air because Black Warrior is a 1/3 owner of the belt along with Dragon Rojo Jr. & Sangre. They haven’t made an announcement yet on whether they would still have to defend it or it would become vacant or anything else pertaining to that belt. They may just forget about for a few years like they have for other belts.

CMLL 10/16 Arena Mexico Results
1) Molotov & Starman def. Artillero & Super Comando
2) Amapola, Hirokra, & Princesa Sujei def. Estrella Magica, Lluvia, & Marcela
3) Hijo del Fantasma, Stuka Jr., & Valiente def. Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, & Sangre Azteca
4) Lightning Match: Volador Jr. def. Averno
5) Mistico, Shocker, & Strong Man def. Atlantis, Negro Casas, & Ultimo Guerrero via DQ
6) Hair vs. Hair: Yujiro def. Black Warrior
* NOTES *
– After the Lightning Match (another good win for Volador) Volador challenged Averno to a Mask vs. Mask Match but Averno suggested a Title Match for his NWA Middleweight Title instead.
– Warrior picked up a very quick pin in the 1st fall and then Yujiro came back in the 2nd and again in the 3rd to take the hair of Black Warrior. This was Yujiro’s first Apuestas win while it was Warrior’s 3rd loss. Warrior has lost his last three Mask/Hair Matches starting back in 2006 when he lost his mask to Mistico and then he and Rey Bucanero lost their hairs in a tag match against Shocker & Lizmark Jr. in 2007. Easily the biggest singles win in Yujiro’s career, probably his biggest win period.

4) Mask vs. Mask Cage Match: Tigre Blanco lost to Polvora, Angel de Oro, Arkangel de la Muerte, Flash, Skandalo, Rey Cometa, Dr. X, Peggaso, Tiger Kid, Hooligan, & Astro Boy
* NOTES *
– Strong Man beat Guerrero in two straight falls. He pinned Guerrero clean in the 1st and then nailed Guerrero with the Strong Bomb but Guerrero took of his mask and tossed it to Strong Man to try and get a DQ but the referee saw Guerrero and DQ’d him instead giving Strong Man the win in 2 straight falls. Supposedly Guerrero was completely dominated in this match which is extremely disappointing as it looks like they are really going to push the hell out of Strong Man despite his lack of wrestling ability.
– The Cage Mask came down to Blanco & Polvora. They wrestled for around 5 minutes until Polvora got the pin on Blanco taking his mask. Blanco is 35-year old Sergio Guzman Silva, a 15 year pro from Mexico City. The following is a pic of the now unmasked Tigre Blanco (courtesy of Super Luchas):

AAA

AAA 10/11 Chihuahua Results

2) Murder Clown, Psycho Clown, & Monster Clown def. El Elegido, Extreme Tiger, & Laredo Kid
3) AAA Heavyweight Title Triple Threat: Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) def. El Mesias & Cibernetico to retain the title!

2) Cinthia Moreno, Fabi Apache, & Mari Apache def. Goddess, Jennifer Blake, & Rain
3) Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario def. Laredo Kid & Super Fly
4) Marco Corleone def. Chessman via DQ
5) El Elegido, La Parka Jr., & Pimpinela Escarlata def. Cuervo, Escoria, & Ozz
6) Monster Clown, Psycho Clown, & Murder Clown def. Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, & Silver King
* NOTES *
– Nikki Roxx (Roxxi formerly of TNA) was promoted for this show but she wasn’t there and Goddess replaced her.
– Tag Champs get a rare non-title win but bury the Air Force in the process, got to love the booking. Apparently they’re ignoring the Super Fly rudo teases again.
– Konnan showed up and said that he would return Dorian Roldan (who a masked man kidnapped for Konnan at the last taping and I obviously forgot to even mention last week. why? probably because of how dumb it is) if AAA reinstated Alex Koslov (anybody else still actually wondering if the Koslov leaving AAA thing was a work or not?).
– Cibernetico came out and trashed Konnan calling him a sellout and saying that he tried to destroy AAA in 1996 when he left for WCW and unlike him he has principles. Of course Ciber is technico once again. El Mesias came out and said he wasn?t cleared to wrestle, joy.
– The masked man returned tonight during the Marco and Chessman match and fouled Marco causing the DQ. The masked man tried to make a get away but the tecnicos cut him and removed his mask. Yep, you guessed it, Alex Koslov. They were about to put the beatdown on Alex until Konnan showed up and said he would hurt Dorian if they didn’t let Alex go.
– After the Semi-Main Ozz decided to shake hands with the tecnicos which Cuervo & Ozz didn’t like too much. Okay, so we go from teasing a rudo turn from Super Fly to teasing a tecnico turn for Dark Ozz?
– The Legion came out and distracted La WagnerManiacs and Siver King was pinned. Psycho Circus was teased as joining the Legion.

AAA 10/19 TV Taping Results
1) Mascarita Divina, Mini Charly Manson, & Octagoncito def. Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Histeria, & Mini Psicosis
2) Jennifer Blake & Rain def. Fabi & Mari Apache
3) Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario def. Decnnis & Extreme Tiger
4) Marco Corleone, Super Fly, & Pimpinela Escarlata def. Rio Bravo, Tigre Cota, & Tito Santana II
5) Cibernetico, Kenzo Suzuki, & El Zorro def. El Mesias, Jack Evans, & La Parka Jr.
6) Dr. Wagner Jr., Electroshock, Silver King, & Ultimo Gladiador def. Alex Koslov, Teddy Hart, Chessman, & Konnan via DQ
* NOTES *
– Once again Nikki Roxx was advertised but did not appear. If I had to guess here one-time appearance in TNA has turned into a return to the company, could be wrong though.
– Another non-title win for the Tag Champs, thankfully.
– The trio of Bravo, Cota, & Santana are surprisingly high on the card but get destroyed.
– Ciber was back to working as a rudo tonight (good lord, they are more confused than I am) and Zorro got the pin after Hijo de Tirantes allowed him to cane Parka.
– In the Main Chessman supposedly isn’t a member of The Legion but is just kicking it with them, Konnan got his team DQ’d after fouling Wagner.
– Konnan cut a promo after the match taking shots at Ciber until Ciber came out (now being cheered by the fans) and they started to brawl until security broke them up. They are obviously leading to a Konnan vs. Cibernetico match which I just don’t know if I could sit through, it would most likely be VERY painful to watch.

AAA 10/23 Mexico City Lineup
1) Jennifer Blake, Octagon, & Rocky Romero vs. Decnnis, Mini Abismo Negro, & Sexy Star

– Player Uno had a rollup on Claudio in the Segunda but the referee was out which allowed Claudio to recover and hit the Helicopter Spin on Uno for the pin.
– In the 4-Way Dasher eliminated the team of Icarus & Chuck Taylor first with a springboard rollup but then Amasis nailed Dasher with the Egyptian Conniption to eliminate Dasher & Sugar. Finally Ophidian hit the Cobra Clutch Suplex and Amasis hits the Can You Dig It together on the Young Bucks to win the match. Said to have been very good.
– Jigsaw & STIGMA was said to be very good and Akuma came out and attacked Jigsaw after the match.
– NWA Jr. Title Match was pretty short with Quack getting the pin after a Headlock Takeover (Yes, I’m serious).
– Dos retains his Young Lions Cup after a B13 and this was his second successful defense.
– The Colony retained their Campeonatos de Parejas (Tag Team Titles) in 2 straight falls. Brodie actually hit a dive to the outside in Fall 1 and it went pretty long (about 15 minutes) before The Colony hit the Spike Beach Break on Grizzly for the pin, but the 2nd fall was much shorter (under 5 minutes) with them hitting Grizzly with the same move. Still was supposedly pretty good.
