Final 4/4 WWE Hall of Fame rating

The 2009 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony airing on the USA Network this past Saturday (April 4) drew a final 1.8 cable rating with 2.58 million viewers reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The show did a 1.55 among males 18-49 with the average viewer being 35. The audience was 65% male. This is the second highest rating for a Hall of Fame trailing just behind last year’s show in 2008 featuring the induction of Ric Flair that drew a 2.09 rating and ties the 1.8 draw in 2006 for the induction of Bret Hart. In comparison, the show in 2007 featuring the inductions of Dusty Rhodes and Jim Ross did a 0.9 rating and the show in 2005 featuring the inductions of Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper did a 1.29 rating. It should be noted that this year’s show was changed to a 10:00 p.m. ET timeslot compared to previous years and, believe it or not, makes a pretty significant difference.
