Report: Plans for 2009 WWE Draft

In regards to the upcoming 2009 WWE Draft in two weeks on April 13, the feeling right now is that given the situation with MyNetworkTV, the idea is that Raw and Smackdown will no longer be treated with the idea of separate, but almost equal reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Last year they made big moves pushing Triple H, Jeff Hardy and Jim Ross over to the brand to help strengthen the show with the move to MyNetworkTV. However, that move has proven to be somewhat unsuccessful with Smackdown ratings down significantly and MyNetworkTV making changes constantly. The word now is that Raw will be the place for the most exposure among WWE programming and want as many of the top people there as possible. That is not to say Smackdown’s roster will be diminished in any way as they still need a strong lineup so house show business for the brand does well on the road.
