Mae Young Classic

In a new report by Tokyo Sports, it is said that Japanese joshi legend Meiko Satomura will be taking part in the second Mae Young Classic tournament that will be taping in August.

When asked for comment by Tokyo Sports, Satomura stated that nothing is official as of yet if she will be a part of the tournament.

Satomura has been wrestling for over two decades, debuting in 1995. Satomura has wrestled for WCW in the late-1990s as part of the tournament to crown their first Women’s Champion. Recently, Satomura took part in the CHIKARA King of Trios tournament in 2012 as part of Team Sendai Girls, losing to The Young Bucks and WWE star Mike Kanellis in the semi-finals. Satomura has also wrestled for Fight Club Pro in the UK recently, becoming their champion and having matches with WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne.

WWE is expected to begin announcing names that will be part of the upcoming second Mae Young Classic tournament in the coming weeks.
