Report: Tickets for WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia officially go on sale

According to a new report from PWInsider tickets for the Crown Jewel event officially went on sale to in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

We had previously reported that WWE confirmed on Thursday morning during the company’s Q3 2018 Results report that the event would take place as scheduled as the company faced a “very difficult decision” following a “heinous crime committed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul”, which was the death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

For the last two weeks, WWE has avoided making any specific mentions about Saudi Arabia when promoting Crown Jewel on television and even went as far as to remove any mention of the country from its calendar of events and previews online.

WWE has received a tremendous amount of media backlash over the last two weeks as well for likely going forward with the show, including avoiding making any specific mention of Saudi Arabia went promoting the event on the WWE television.

Crown Jewel will feature Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar to determine a new WWE Universal Champion after Roman Reigns reveled on this past episode of Monday Night Raw he is again battling leukemia, forcing him to vacate the Universal Championship as he will be taking time off to focus on his health.

Other matches include Daniel Bryan challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and Shawn Michaels returning to the ring for the first since since his retirement in 2010 as he teams up with Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane.
