In something that may or may not have lead to his sudden release last Friday, ProWrestling.net is reporting that Scotty Goldman botched a spot in his last match with WWE against Umaga at the Smackdown tapings last week in Portland, OR. According to a live report from the show, when Umaga was about to give his spike to the throat finisher to Goldman, Goldman jumped to take the thumb as a bump and landed awkwardly. It appeared that Goldman was trying to make the move look more impressive, but it ended up botching. When Umaga exited the ring, Vickie Guerrero walked out and ordered the match to be restarted again. Goldman then took the move in the traditional way the second time around. There was said to be heat on Goldman for having to restart the match.
