During an interview with “Busted Open” on SiriusXM satellite radio this week, Chris Jericho talked at length about his public signing with All Elite Wrestling.
Jericho explained that his appearance at the AEW rally in Jacksonville this past Tuesday was not a surprise to Vince McMahon, as he made McMahon aware beforehand.

“A lot of that stuff is private, but I did have a very amicable conversation with him. He knew what I was doing. It wasn’t a surprise. I didn’t just show up in Jacksonville and that was it. The bottom line is the Khan family isn’t messing around. They want to make a go at this and you know they have a lot of money and they have a lot of capital.”
As reported earlier, Jericho also stated that he would have never considered making the jump and signing a deal with AEW had the company not been already negotiating a strong television deal going forward, something that has yet to be announced.
While some wrestling media have speculated on some potential television suitors, Jericho would only say that fans would know AEW was serious when the outlet is confirmed.
