Former World Champion could exit WWE soon, 205 Live star recently requested release

World Champion

Following reports this week that The Revival had requested a release from WWE at the RAW on Monday, more names started to come out as potentially exiting as well.

PWInsider is reporting that former World Champion Dolph Ziggler could be on his way out of the company after turning down an offer to become a producer. Ziggler, who has been off television since a steel cage match on RAW with Drew McIntyre last month, could be exiting from the company as early as January 31. He’s currently booked to take part in a stand up comedy tour and is off the road with WWE. Ziggler is also going by his real name (Nic Nemeth) on Twitter while promoting his upcoming tour.

The same report by PWInsider is also indicating that 205 Live star Mike Kanellis recently requested a release from WWE three weeks ago, but was denied. He was last seen on WWE programming during the January 9 edition of 205 Live and hasn’t been used since. Kanellis recently put out a t-shirt with Pro Wrestling Tees.

Maria Kanellis, who was rumored to have also requested a release from WWE as well, appeared to laugh off the rumors on Twitter earlier today.

As noted in the earlier report about The Revival’s potential departure, it would appear WWE is not interested in granting early releases with the launch of All Elite Wrestling.
