Booker T files lawsuit against Activision

The Verge is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has filed a lawsuit against Activision over his likeness being used in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.”

Booker T claims, Prophet the character in Call of Duty video game, looked too similar to his “G.I. Bro” comic book character adding, “They could have drawn him any way they wanted. But they chose to steal Booker T’s ‘G. I. Bro.”

The complaint describes Huffman’s character, which is based on his old alter ego, as “a retired special operations soldier, fighting an old enemy he thought he had finished off years before, with the support of his old military friends.” Prophet, a multiplayer “specialist” character in Black Ops 4, is a cybernetically enhanced soldier who eventually replaces most of his body parts with mechanical upgrades. While the two men sound almost nothing alike, at least a couple of Redditors have commented that Prophet looked like Booker T.
