More on why Hogan vs. Austin is not likely to happen

Following an appearance on Bubba The Love Sponge where he stated he would be open to putting over Steve Austin in a match at WrestleMania 25 this year, many have pointed out that Hulk Hogan’s remark might be wishful thinking and especially after Jim Ross commented that Austin has no interest in working another match right now.

One source close to Hogan seems to agree with that statement by Ross as well stating that Austin is in no shape to work with anybody right now and it would be impossible for him to bump and have a match reports ProWrestling.net.

This same source also added that Hogan is also dealing with the usual wear and tear of his body so a match between the two doesn’t seem likely. While nothing should ever be ruled out regarding a possible appearance by Hogan at WrestleMania this year, Hogan and Vince McMahon are not close these days and it doesn’t appear Hogan is actively pursuing a gig at the show.
