Current champion did not tape WrestleMania 36 match, another competitor quarantined

The Miz out of WrestleMania 36

SPOILERS for WrestleMania 36 below

According to multiple sources, SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Miz did not perform on WrestleMania 36, which was taped this past Wednesday and Thursday.

The Miz was in Orlando, but he showed up not feeling well. According to F4WOnline, it is not confirmed whether Miz has contracted the coronavirus or is just under the weather. This is reported to be one of the contributing factors to Roman Reigns deciding not to perform at WrestleMania against Goldberg.

The Miz was scheduled to defend the Tag Team Titles alongside John Morrison against the winner of The New Day vs. The Usos on SmackDown. It is not known whether the match was taped with a replacement for The Miz or scrapped altogether.

Also according to F4WOnline, another WrestleMania competitor, Bobby Lashley, was also recently quarantined following a promotional tour to South Africa to promote the WWE Live tour in the region at the end of April. That tour has since been postponed.

Lashley is scheduled to take on Aleister Black at WrestleMania 36. It is not known if the match was already taped.

We will continue to follow these stories as more becomes available.
