Vince McMahon issues statement regarding Shad Gaspard

WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon took to Twitter (view below) to issue a statement regarding Shad Gaspard.

We reported earlier today that the United States Coast Guard has officially suspended the search for Gaspard.  The 39-year-old former WWE Superstar went missing on Sunday off Venice Beach.

He and his 10-year-old son, along with some other swimmers, were caught in a riptide and pulled into the ocean.  A rescue effort quickly got underway.  Lifeguards reportedly reached Gaspard, who directed them to save his son first.  As they did, a large wave reportedly hit him, and he hasn’t been seen since.

It has been reported that a single boat is still out looking for him, though chances of finding Gaspard alive are quickly fading. The case will not be closed until a body is found.

On behalf of the staff of Wrestleview, we continue to join many others in sending positivity and prayers to the family of Shad Gaspard during this awful time.
