According to new reports by F4WOnline and Fightful, the match with Edge and Randy Orton at WWE Backlash, which is titled “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever,” was filmed on Sunday.
Performance Center recruits were called to the center at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 7 to be in the crowd for the match. Edge and Orton filmed the match, which was said to be very good with the two workers having the smartest match they could under the circumstances.
The match with Edge and Orton was filmed ahead of time so post-match editing could help it achieve the marketed tagline. Despite other reports floating around, the rest of the Backlash event was not filmed.
