WWE suspends NXT UK talent Joe Coffey, fires two referees, conference call held today

Joe Coffey suspended

As was reported yesterday, WWE held a mandatory conference call with NXT UK talent today.

The conference call was led by Paul Levesque. Levesque explicitly laid out what WWE’s policy and protocol was regarding sexual abuse allegations. It was reiterated that the company has zero tolerance on any charges, provided that there was irrefutable evidence.

There was no talk regarding any other changes to the NXT UK brand. The brand will tape television when it is feasible to do so again in the area.

Regarding follow ups to the #SpeakingOut movement, Joe Coffey was suspended by the company, according to F4WOnline. Coffey had been accused of sexual harassment, sending unwanted photos, and stalking. WWE also fired NXT UK referees Chris Roberts and Joel Allen (reported by PWInsider) due to allegations made.

In the wake of the #SpeakingOut movement, WWE has already released Jack Gallagher, Ligero, and Travis Banks.
