WWE’s COVID-19 outbreak: More people test positive for coronavirus in the company

More people infected with COVID-19

According to an exclusive report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, more people who were at the WWE Performance Center have tested positive for COVID-19.

During the most recent round of television tapings on July 1, 2, and 3, additional people tested positive beyond the initial outbreak of the virus that started in the company toward the end of June. At least 30 people have tested positive for the virus over the past three weeks, including in-ring talent and people behind the scenes. F4WOnline is reporting the number “might be closer to 40.”

Since they began testing for the virus, the company has administered over 1,500 tests. Renee Young, Adam Pearce, Jamie Noble, and Kayla Braxton, who caught the virus for the second time, have publicly confirmed they contracted the virus.

This past week, WWE instituted a strict face mask policy for all those in the Performance Center with the only exceptions being made for those performing on the air. The fine for the first offense is $500. A second offense will be a $1,000 fine.

Requests for the official number of people infected have gone unanswered by WWE.

We will continue to follow this story as more becomes available.
