After images started making their rounds online of inappropriate images being shown on the live fan feeds in the WWE ThunderDome, WWE made the following statement:
“This abhorrent behavior does not reflect WWE‘s values and we have zero tolerance for these unacceptable acts. We are working to ban those involved from future events and per our policies, any inappropriate actions result in the removal from the live stream.”
Throughout Monday’s episode of Raw, virtual fans placed in the front row began putting up inappropriate images. During the opening segment with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, a picture of Chris Benoit was shown. During the main event match, a fan dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes and then began streaming a video of an execution.
WWE launched the WWE ThunderDome on SmackDown this past Friday. The setup is featuring a state-of-the-art set, video boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics and drone cameras. Registration takes place online, but it is unclear what information is being stored or what measures WWE can take to ban these problematic individuals.
