According to PWInsider,WWE applied to trademark the following names, which is believed to be for the WWE Superstar Spectacle in India:
– Giant Zanjeer
– Dilsher Shanky
– Guru Raaj
All the filings were for good and services for “Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
Update on the new WWE Superstar Spectacle show
PWInsider is reporting the WWE Superstar Spectacle will air on Indian Republic Day, Tuesday January 26 at 8:00 pm local time in India.
The report indicated the event will be taped at the Capitol Wresting Center in Orlando, FL sometime around January 21. It is also being said there had been plans to do tapings over several days. However, it is now expected the entire event will be taped on January 21.
The length of the show is currently expected to be 90 minutes to 2 hours long and will feature both English and Hindi language broadcasts on Sony TEN 1 and Sony TEN 3.
Local advertising on Sony India Television is featuring Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boys. It was also noted the show will feature WWE NXT trainees from India as well.
WWE announced last Saturday the Superstar Spectacle was coming later this month.
