Newly crowned WWE Champion The Miz will make his first title defense on next Monday’s episode of Raw on the USA Network.
During last night’s Raw on the USA Network saw Lashley and MVP confront The Miz and issue an ultimatum for a Championship Match as payback for helping The Miz cash in his Money In the Bank Brief Case against Drew McIntyre during Sunday night’s Elimination Chamber PPV.
As The Miz told Lashley he needed more time, Braun Strowman came out and demanded his own title match opportunity. This then led to a segment with The Miz, John Morrison, Lashley, Strowman, Adam Pearce and Shane McMahon.
Shane McMahon then made Strowman vs. Lashley as the main event for last night’s show.
If Strowman won, it would be a Triple Threat Match with Strowman, Lashley and The Miz for the WWE Championship. Lashley Speared Strowman and then followed up with Spinebuster for the win.
Following Lashley’s win, WWE confirmed Lashley vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship on next Monday’s episode of Raw.
