I was watching the BDO (British Darts Organization) world championships that are currently being shown in the UK on BBC2. Part way through the Steve Bunting v Scott Waites match there was a shot of 2 guys in the crowd wearing wrestling masks. Martin Adams, the reigning champ, was commentating and said he recognized them as being like Rey Mysterio’s. The fact that to anyone in the know they were quite clearly more Kendo Nagasaki than Rey is beside the point. I just thought it was cool that a 54 year English darts world champion knew who Rey was, it goes to show how widespread in society wrestling is.
