Brand-sponsored match in the works for WrestleMania 39

According to a report on Thursday from The Hollywood Reporter, sponsorship revenue for WrestleMania 39 is currently between $14-15 million, which would be a new record for the event. The report also indicated some of that revenue will come from a brand-sponsored match.

It appears another sponsored match, similar to the Mountain Dew Pitch Black match, that took place at last month’s Royal Rumble is already in the works for WrestleMania 39.

WWE Senior Vice President and Head of Global Sales and Partnerships, Craig Stimmel told The Hollywood Reporter, plans include a post-event press conference sponsored event as with what fans saw with the Royal Rumble.

The report further notes that Pepsi, Take-Two, Mars/Snickers, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch have all signed on to sponsor WrestleMania 39. It was also said by that the events revenue sponsorship is already 40 percent higher than WrestleMania 38.

WrestleMania 39 will take place on April 1 and 2 from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
