Former WWE Champion set for voice role in new Studio Ghibli film

A report from Variety revealed the English voice cast for the upcoming Studio Ghibli film The Boy and the Heron.

The film, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and his first feature in ten years, touts a voice cast starring Christian Bale, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, and Dave Bautista.

This marks the latest in a string of roles for Bautista this year following Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Parachute, and Knock at the Cabin.

The former WWE World Champion last competed at WrestleMania 35 against Triple H, focusing squarely on his acting career in the years since.

The Boy and the Heron will be released theatrically on December 8.
