WWE announces new fundraiser for Make-A-Wish

WWE sent out the following today….

STAMFORD, Conn., August 14, 2012 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) and Party City today announced an alliance to “Help Make Wishes Come True,” a joint initiative to support Make-A-Wish®. Party City, the official party store of WWE, is currently conducting a nationwide in-store fundraiser through August 18 where customers can support Make-A-Wish with donations collected at any of the 750 Party City stores across the country. One hundred percent of the donations collected will benefit the organization with a minimum financial contribution of $75,000.

Party City and WWE Superstar The Miz® will present a check to Make-A-Wish in the ring at SummerSlam® Axxess at Nokia Plaza at LA Live on August 18.

“Our support of Make-A-Wish is inspired by the children that are the very heart of our business,” said Gerald Rittenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Amscan Holdings Inc. “We are excited to partner with WWE to help grant the wishes of children through Make-A-Wish and allow them the opportunity to celebrate life’s special moments with friends and family.”
