We see video highlighting last week’s finals of the tournament to crown the 1st NXT Tag Team Champions when British Ambition defeated The Wyatt Family to become the 1st champions before the usual intro.

We go right to the opening contest as Tom Phillips & William Regal welcome us to the show.

Bray Wyatt w/The Wyatt Family vs. Yoshi Tatsu

This is Wyatt’s 1st singles match on TV since August of last year as Wyatt has been out of action with a torn bicep. Wyatt comes out wearing a black apron. Wyatt backs Tatsu into the corner, then Tatsu comes back with chops and kicks, but they have no effect. Wyatt shoves Tatsu into the ropes, then catches him and drills him with a standing urnangi slam. Wyatt yells that this is his return and that this is the future for anyone else who faces him. Wyatt backs Tatsu into the corner with sumo style slaps, followed by a series of left & right clubs to the neck. Wyatt then charges and connects with a big avalanche in the corner.

Wyatt drags Tatsu out of the corner, kisses him on the forehead, then hits the Rapture for the victory.

Winner: Bray Wyatt by pinfall (The Rapture)

After the match, Wyatt throws Tatsu out of the ring, then calls Harper & Rowan into the ring. Wyatt wants video shown on the Titantron of their loss last week to British Ambition. Wyatt says that they let him down last week and how could they, after everything Wyatt has done for them. Wyatt says to Rowan that Harper is his brother, he protects you, you love him you lean on him when you need protection and where was he? He was the one that cost us the NXT Tag Team Titles. How do you feel now? Hit him now! Rowan slaps Harper and Harper wants to go after him, but Wyatt holds him back as the crowd is chanting “Hug it out”. Wyatt says to Harper that he is his general, I lead on you. Doesn’t your back hurt from carrying him (Rowan) your whole life? Don’t you want vengeance? How do you feel? Hit him! Harper slaps Rowan now and then the two begin slugging it out as Wyatt is yelling for them to fight it out. Finally, Wyatt says that’s enough. Wyatt says to them, how do you feel? That taste in your mouth of loss. I don’t want you to have this feeling again. I’m proud of you boys.

Wyatt laughs maniacally as the Wyatt Family now appears stronger than ever. They leave the ring as we go backstage.

Backstage, Renee Young is with Sasha Banks. Renee asks Sasha about this secret admirer of hers and the fact that this week, we will find out just who it is. Sasha says she is excited that tonight she gets to meet her secret admirer. A backstage attendant hands Sasha another card from said secret admirer. It says “I can’t wait for you to see the desire in my eyes, here comes the big surprise!” All of a sudden, Audrey Marie, who has not been on NXT for a few months, nails Sasha from behind. Audrey grabs Sasha and says that she has been out injured and this is what they replace me with? Sasha, get out of NXT. Love, your secret admirer.

Back from commercial, we go to our next match.

El Local vs. Xavier Woods

This match was supposed to take place a few weeks ago, but did not air due to time constraints. Local with a side headlock, followed by a shoulder tackle as the crowd chants “Power Ranger” at Local. Woods with a leapfrog, followed by a pair of arm drags. Woods goes for a 3rd, but Local blocks it. Local ducks under a head kick, but Woods comes back with a leg sweep for a 1 count. Woods charges and lands on the apron when Local tries to backdrop him over the ropes. Woods goes for a shoulder, but Local leaps over and nails Woods with a double stomp to the back of the neck.

Local with a kick to the back, followed by a slam and a quick leg drop for a nearfall. Local sends Woods into the corner and begins stomping away at him. Local with a snapmare, followed by a basement enziguri for a nearfall. Local with a chinlock as the crowd begins willing on Woods. Woods tries to break free, but Local with a back club. Local goes for a slam, but Woods slips out. Woods shoves Local to the corner, but Local does a baseball slide to put on the brakes. Woods comes in, but Local nails him with a kick from a grounded position for another nearfall. Local with a kick to the back of the head, then goes back to the chinlock. Crowd chants “USA” to will on Woods as he gets to his feet, but Local slams him back down to the head. Local with another kick to the back for a nearfall. Local again goes back to the chinlock as the crowd again wills Woods on. Woods again tries to break free, but Local with a knee to the gut. Local with a whip, but misses a pair of clotheslines as Woods comes back with a spinning head scissors takeover.

Woods with a flying forearm, followed by a front dropkick for a nearfall. Local comes back with an inside cradle for a nearfall. Local with a jawbreaker, followed by a corner whip. Local charges, but runs into a gut kick by Woods. Woods goes to the middle rope, but Local with a chop. Local heads up with Woods, but Woods knocks him off with a headbutt.

Woods then hits a Tornado DDT on Local for the victory.

Winner: Xavier Woods by pinfall (Tornado DDT)

Woods celebrates his win before we again go backstage.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews the NXT doctor, Michael Sampson, who has been working with Paige ever since she injured her shoulder last week. Sampson says that he has been working with Paige daily, running her through tests, one is to see if she has a biceps tendinitis. Also, Paige could have an AC separation, but Sampson says they are gonna keep evaluating her and see when they can get Paige back in action. Renee asks if there is a time frame and Sampson says they can’t say for sure, but in a couple of days, they can determine a set time frame.

Back from commercial, we go to our next match.

Audrey Marie vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha with a quick roll-up for a nearfall. Sasha goes to the mount on Audrey, who kicks her away. Audrey with a knee to the gut, then trash talks her before slamming her down for a nearfall. Audrey with a keylock while continuing to talk trash. Regal mentions that he talked to Snoop Dogg about Sasha because they are cousins. Audrey switches to an armbar, but Sasha goes backward and gets a nearfall. Audrey with a back club, then goes to a seated surfboard. Audrey gets Sasha onto her stomach and keeps the surfboard maintained while still talking trash. The crowd wills Sasha back into the match as Audrey goes for a backbreaker, but Sasha counters into a spinning head scissors takeover. Sasha with a pair of clotheslines, followed by a dropkick.

Sasha goes for a move out of a wheelbarrow, but Audrey counters it into a version of a Glam Slam, that is called the Photo Finish, for the victory.

Winner: Audrey Marie by pinfall (The Photo Finish)

Audrey celebrates her win while continuing to talk trash to Sasha before we once again go backstage.

Backstage, Renee Young is with Summer Rae and mentions that she earlier talked to the doctor who has been working with Paige through her injury, saying that Paige has no range of motion in her arm. Summer says that Paige has no range of emotion in her life. Why should I, or anyone else for that matter, feel bad for her? Summer says that Paige asked for a match and she got exactly what she deserved. The only regret that Summer says she has is that she broke a nail, slapping Paige around the ring. Summer says that now that her “big competition” is out of the way, she can now focus on being the greatest WWE Diva ever. Summer says to Renee that from now on, she is only to refer to Summer as the “1st Lady of NXT”, kisses.

Back from commercial, Tony Dawson is in the ring and he introduces the injured Tyson Kidd. Tyson comes out on crutches as the crowd chants “welcome back”. Dawson says Kidd got injured recently and had to have reconstructive surgery by Dr. James Andrews. Dawson asks Kidd about how he got the injury. Kidd says he was competing on a WWE live event and he did a dive that caused him to tear every ligament in his knee. However, before he knew what the prognosis was, Kidd says he asked the doctors to let him compete the next night because they didn’t know the extent of the injury at that time. Kidd says he has heard a lot of rumors of when he’ll be back, but know one thing, he will be back. Dawson mentions CM Punk’s comment of Kidd being one of the most “under-appreciated work-horses” in WWE recently. Kidd says love or hate Punk, you have to respect him. For him to say that, Kidd says he’s flattered. A work-horse is not just a catch-phrase, its a mentality, its a way of life, its the way he deals with everyday situations. Being a work-horse is something Kidd says he was brought up to be since the Dungeon to be the best he can be.

Leo Kruger’s music hits and he comes out. Kruger says he is gonna end Kidd’s career. Kruger says Kidd is like a wounded animal, so weak and vulnerable. Kruger says Kidd should have stayed away. Kruger gets into the ring and shoves away Dawson. Kruger then kicks Kidd in the injured leg. Kruger grabs Kidd’s crutch and goes to hit Kidd with it until Justin Gabriel runs out to make the save. Kruger leaves with a sick smile on his face as Gabriel checks on Kidd.

We see Conor O’Brian & Big E. Langston walking backstage as their match is………NEXT!

Main Event in a Non-Title Special Challenge Match: NXT Champion Big E. Langston vs. “The Ascension” Conor O’Brian

Crowd chants “Five” for Big E, who does the “Five” chant along with them. Both jockey for position in a lock-up before they break. They charge from opposite sides of the ring to go back to the lock-up. Again, a jockey of position occurs before they break. O’Brian goes for a shoulder tackle, but no one moves. Big E. goes for the same, but O’Brian nails him with a back elbow. O’Brian with a right hand, followed by an elbow to the back of the neck. O’Brian with a gut kick, followed by another club. O’Brian mocks the “Five” chant, but then Big E. comes back with a right hand. Big E. with a gut punch, a right hand, another gut punch and then finally a clothesline that sends O’Brian over the ropes and to the outside. The crowd does another “Five” chant as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Big E. with a corner whip. He charges, but O’Brian moves and Big E. goes shoulder-first into the ringpost. O’Brian with a chinlock in the ropes, breaking at the count of 4. O’Brian stomps away on Big E, followed by a series of right hands. O’Brian with another elbow to the back of the neck, followed by a kick to the face and a right hand. O’Brian with a forearm for a nearfall. O’Brian locks in a Cobra Clutch of sorts as the crowd begins to will on Big E. Big E. gets to his feet, but O’Brian connects with a Full Nelson slam for a nearfall. O’Brian goes back to the Cobra Clutch as the crowd again wills on the champion. O’Brian again goes to pull Big E. into a full nelson slam, but Big E. blocks it. Big E. with a whip, followed by a clothesline. Big E. with another clothesline, followed by a series of knees to the ribs. Big E. with a corner charge, but runs into a right hand by O’Brian. They exchange right hands until they begin slugging it out. O’Brian gains advantage with a series of right hands. They continue slugging it out as the referee is trying to pull them back, but to no avail. The ref tries again to break them up, but he gets caught in the middle and shoved down by both men.

The ref then has no choice but to ring bell, disqualifying both men.

No Winner: The match is ruled a double disqualification (Both men shoved down the referee)

The crowd boos at this as the slugfest continues. Big E. clotheslines O’Brian through the ropes and to the outside. Big E. and O’Brian stare each other down but then all of a sudden, Corey Graves runs in from the crowd and nails Big E. from behind. Graves grabs the NXT title belt and runs up the ramp with it as he is stealing it from Big E. Big E. chases Graves to the back as we go to credits.
